      Glad you liked it Trevor, you can park on the embankment for £2 or free evenings and weekends. Parking restrictions change like the wind but some streets you can park on and some are restricted. I have more Trent films coming soon, so keep an eye on the channel. 👍🎣

    Great stretch, sadly under fished. I normally go upstream of the bridge as it’s usually boat free. You meet some “characters” as well!

      Hi Ian, have you had any big Roach upstream of the bridge?

    Great video mate. Brings back memories. I lived in Nottingham for 10 years and had some awesome catches and fish from Collingham, friskerton, buton joyce, stoke bardolf and that stretch. Miss fishing it

      With the river being so clear the deeper swims are the best area to target.

    Great river upload.👍 you should have a look at the cadence 15ft 0. 💪💪IP Fishing has put a video with him catching a 3lb roach. So be ideal for your style 👏👏

      Hi Dave, yes, seen the excellent 3lb 4oz Roach film.
      Looking at options for a longer float rod and Cadence definitely worth a look. 👍

    Looks like a great day out will need to get down the embankment at some point its only 15mins away and I've never fished it... did have a good day bagging on London road canal recently though, on the bread punch for a cheap day out. It is packed with skimmers and roach at the moment!

      London Rd stretch on the canal has always been a good stretch and always worth a go 👍

    Wheres the best/nearest place to park if your fishing this side mate? Always fished the opposite bank and obviously park along the embankment cheers 👍🏻

      You can some times part on the street at the back or the pay car park for The Welland biulding. You can also park on the embankment and walk over the bridge - don't forget to pay though. Free at weekends.

    Thanks for video, where would you recommend parking for the suspension bridge area and notts Forrest ground please? Is that free parking if not what is the cost?

    Are there still some proper Bream to be had mate???? I've not fished it for a long time. Great vid mate 👍🏻 🎣

    • @nottsfishingkbtv402
      @nottsfishingkbtv402  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mark, there used to be thousands in the 80’s but far less Bream on the embankment these days. As the water has become clearer I think they may have moved to deeper water. I haven’t fished for them in the right conditions though. If anyone else has had Bream success recently on the steps leave a comment. 👍

    It looks an amazing stretch is it possible to get a bank stick in somewhere for a keepnet or rod rest

    • @nottsfishingkbtv402
      @nottsfishingkbtv402  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are odd gaps in the concrete for a thin bank stick

    Just wondered can you park your car on the road that goes to the bridge. Great video really enjoyed it.

    • @nottsfishingkbtv402
      @nottsfishingkbtv402  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, parking rules change so please check. You can also park on the opposite bank evenings and weekends and walk across the bridge.

      The longer rod is a must in those deeper pegs. Thanks for watching Mark.

    about 30 years ago we had a match there with clipstone fishing club the match was stopped by the police as we had a suicide jumper on the bridge, we had a stand off for hours , we all wanted him to jump and get it over with so we could restart the match, in the end he did jump but made a right mess of himself, as when they built the bridge all the old stone that was not used for the pillars was put in to river to take the pressure off the pillar , its only about 2 3 foot at the stone pillar a lot of bones was broken when he jumped
