    Hey mate, I'm new to your channel, really enjoying your content.
    I've recently received two offers for a Masters Degree in Cybersecurity from Deakin and Latrobe Uni.
    Just wondering in your opinion which of the two courses would be better and more pragmatic for getting into an entry level role in cyber security in Melbourne.

    Hi !
    I have just finished high school in the May and I am considering to enroll in an University in Austrlia that has Cyber security field that I am interested in. and I am confused what to choose since I am an international one.
    I have a strong interest in Cyber security, especially in low-level stuff like Reverse-Engineering, Binary Exploitation. After Graduation I would like to work in that field.
    I am afraid to choose a wrong one that would cost me an immensive time and money for nothing...

    Good day mate! There’s something I desperately wanted to ask since your video was really really informative:
    Between UQ (University of Queensland) and QUT (Queensland University of Technology), which university offers the better program of master in cyber security (the program name for QUT is “Master of information technology, Cyber Security and Networks major”) when I wanted to get a cyber security related job in the future?
    UQ do have “penetration testing” and “incident response” in their compulsory courses (cyber defense major) but I heard from a friend who’s currently studying in CS (comp sci) in UQ said that the course design is absolutely terrible, those “introduction to programming” courses have bad quality while the assignments are difficult as hell. I wonder if that’s the same case in the cyber security degree since both Comp sci and Cyber sec degree are under the same faculty.
    My friend recommended me to study in QUT (and he’s planning to study there next year too), but QUT doesn’t include courses like pen test, digital forensic, etc., so at this point I’m really struggling which one should I choose. Can you help me to look into the courses in both uni? thank you!!!!!!!!!😭😭😭
    Context: I’m an international student who just got an offer from QUT on the master degree mentioned above but not yet UQ, have a bachelor degree in communication with no IT background.

    • @UnixGuy
      @UnixGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      hey mate, I wish I had a good answer for you, but generally speaking I fine masters degree to be waaay over priced in Australia for the value offered. Its hard to know if UQ or QUT masters will be ‘good’ because it will depend on who’s teaching you the subjects!
      I found you can learn everything a lot cheaper using certifications. For the record both UQ and QUT are ‘good’ but thats all I know…

    Hi there I have applied in Deakin university for diploma of information technology leading to bachelor's of cybersecurity as an international student.Firstly will I get an internship if I am good at studies? because internships provide practice experience. Secondly after finishing my degree what are job possibilities for me as a temporary resident in Australia?

    • @UnixGuy
      @UnixGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) this is a question you should ask Deakin
      2) it is possible but always challenging without a permanent residence

    Brother, I intend to study cyber security at the University of Tasmania where there are options of choosing two specializations and can be other options like cross specializations. I completed my bachelor in Electrical and telecommunication engineering from North South University. Eagerly waiting for your precise suggestions.
