I’ve been throwing cast nets for years. Everyone has their own throwing technique. I don’t put my net in my mouth, however I do load it similar to you. Instead of putting the net in my mouth, I load a couple of lengths of the net in my throwing hand. For your purposes on that day, I think the 6ft was a good choice. On days that I anticipate having to make a bunch of throws, I will take my 4, 5, or 6ft net. I only use my larger nets, 7 to 10 foot, when I’m confident I can park on top of a large school and only have to make a few throws. I can throw my 10 foot net about 5 times before my arm hurts. Good video with accurate information. Tight lines
Very informative videos! What would you say is the structure that striper most widely hang out at? I realize there is a lot of different structure but I’m just trying to narrow it down more to have better luck. I fish Cherokee lake in Jefferson City TN. I’ve caught some nice fish there but still looking for that mega school!
What kind of other how to videos do y'all want to see?

I was just watchin ur fb video, do you load your bigger nets the same way?
6:52 is when they caught the gizzard fishes.
Great info.
You might be the last person on earth still drinking pond water! Lol.
Drop them out of the net into the cooler. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video.
Great tips, thank you! Are you using 3/8 mesh or larger?
I believe that's just a generic 3/8 mesh. Match the mesh size with depth of bait and size of bait.
Thanks, now I’m off to buy a net!
Do more bait catching vedos please
Y’all gonna catch some fffffish 😂😂😂
My toss net is only half that size time to upgrade 👋🏿Mark K
5ant bad he'll I know places that if you throw a 6' the shad would drag you in the River. Fill 5 ga bucket up with 2 dips with a dip net all day long
Why not start with a 10 to 12'? Learn on one of those then you will have it!!. Fling that thing!! Pan cakes to you😊
I am atrocious at throwing a net
