What makes this one special is the rear AC, center console fridge & ice maker, factory tire carrier, factory sub tank, hood ornament, and fj40 style jump seats.

This is a lot better than importing one from Japan with right hand drive. Rear AC, tire rack, hood ornament, cool box, etc. you can't get from a US spec one. Damn nice LC!

1984-1989 Toyota "Van" had the option for a ice maker/cool box in America. Very nice FJ80. It would've been absolutely perfect if it had the 5 speed option.

Hey very nice car , my cousin have one since more than 30 years good mecanique , but one thing your dash bord cover in white or grey could reflect in your wildshield and can obstruct visibility, but enjoy….😊

Yes it was pretty much straight forward. Since it’s over 25 years old it’s eligible to enter the US. The shipper I worked with knew what documents I need. It just took too long to get here but at least there was nothing missing or any damage.

They use 5w40 or 20w50 oil over there in their LC’s whatever you do, don’t use any oil under 40

you don’t know how lucky you are to have a middle eastern model. they come with rare options on it. you got the decals, 4.5 decal as well. AMBULANCE DOORS AND SPARE! you probably also got the 3 lockers. and omg you have the vxr so leather and better sound system. you got the newer steering rack. you don’t know what your missing. i wouldn’t sell this if i were you, it’s a keeper and rare as hell in black that’s for sure. if you drive this in the Middle East people will stop you and offer you crazy prices
Thank you for the compliment. It’s a special vehicle indeed and that’s the reason I bought. It does have the front and rear locker. This thing drives like a tank!

Nick they is a very nice vehicle. Would you be willing to share with us how you got it into the US, like the steps involved and how much it cost to import? Also, do you have any connections in the UAE for vehicles like this? Thanks.
Since it’s over 25 years old you can import it into the US as a classic vehicle. The key is to find an honest seller there if you decide to buy sight unseen and a good shipper. The shipping company will tell you what documents you need to US customs. I worked with leader relocations and they did a good job with shipping.
@@nick-3388 it looks like you’re in Florida right. Did Florida give you any issues when you were registering it? Did you need to change windshields, seat belts or bumpers? Also, how much did it cost you to import it into the US?
@@jbt7115 I live in Georgia actually. I just had to get a paper from my local police office, they want to make sure the vin is a match with the shipping paperwork. Didn’t have to do anything else. Registration was straight forward.

Toyota Land Cruiser it is a very reliable vehicle. However, they are underpowered and you need to modify it in order to increase the Horsepower rate.
This aspect doesn't bother me and I feel it has adequate power for its size and age.
