I saw your 'teaser' drop a few days ago. I actually ordered the yellow version. It's coming tomorrow. I don't think the scales are ugly! It's basically a sort of floral design I see in Ti scales millings. Your knife habit makes all ours seem reasonable!! Thanks, and bring up you audio levels! ✨😺
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely look into a better microphone! Please let me know how you like it when you get yours! I think it's an awesome knife
Picked up the G10/14c28n And the GoldFoil-shred carbon/ ZDF905 versions the lader is much lighter but both function perfect after disassembly and re-lube/clean. Very happy with two foe the price of one with both getting 50% off. Great review sir.
Great vid, thank you. Is the Peafowel Shan Zu's first folder? I have a button lock from Shan Zu as well. Either way they only have 2 pocketknives that I've seen! They are excellent budget knives!
Mine just arrived today. I was going to give it a shining review but then.... A problem arose. After around 30 or so deployments, the depent ball went MIA. I honestly don't think I have ever had that happen on any pocket knife. Hoping it's just a one-off issue, so I will send it back for a replacement and see how that Does. Something to watch out for.
Hey. 😂.. Firstly, don't kill/blame the messager/buyer! I totally get why you we curious about the Peafoul. It is a sweet looking blade. Judging by my yellow/ mustard as an example, these folks venture into folders is rocky. If it's the same OEM as Kiser, they are doing a lower quality build. Sorry to say, they went crazy with lock tight. I used a big handle and a Wiha T-6 and got the body screws lose (barely), only to discover the cool branded pivot is NOT captive! And equally lock tighed. So, I stopped while I was ahead. The G-10 is Very different, but sorta cool. It's a bit gummy/sticky, in a okay way. The deal-breaker is an issue noted by others but no the Amazon reviews. It won't lock up without a big wrist flip. Then it will. We know this could be adjusted, but civilians won't and given the spinning pivot, neither will knife folks. You spotted this before anyone else and I appreciate that! Hope this helps. ✨😺
I appreciate the feedback. I didn't even try to take it apart but I will now. The G10 is different from any g10 I've ever felt and I agree mine has a rubbery feel also. For 30 bucks I still think it's a good deal BUT sounds like they have a lot to improve.
Glad to see your review. I had just seen that great deal and impulse bought it, then I figured maybe I ought to look for some reviews lol Hopefully I don’t have the issues with mine that other commenters have. I will make another comment here if I do. Btw I hope we all understand that “peafowl” is the neutral term for referring to the birds that most people call peacocks and peahens.😂
Hey man! Good to hear you snagged one, 8 still think it's too good to pass up for 30 bucks. I haven't had any issues yet but it wouldn't surprise me if there are some good ones and some bad ones as a lot of these smaller companies struggle with quality control. Let me know how you like it though!
I totally get it, they are a pretty confusing company. Their name, Shan zu, honors a female Chinese chef but a LOT of their knives are advertised as "Japanese Kitchen Knife" or "made of high quality Japanese steel". Maybe they just don't want the stigma of Chinese-made products.

Came to drop a comment that your jokes caught me off guard. Well done.
Spot on about the kizer conspiracy theory as well
Picked up the G10/14c28n

Peafowl is the peacock , you know with the big feather not a cuss word
Lol I learned that after the video. Good to hear from you man.
I bought one, good knife 😊
I was about to say the same thing, the knife comes out of Japan! Words that are translated from other nationalities might sound nasty but they're not!

I haven't had that issue yet. I have heard it's really hard to take apart because of locktite and the pivot not being captive.

Really wanted one for the half off price, but if I can't take it apart that's a deal breaker

nice
It really is Hector! Pick one up if you get a chance.
The knife is made out of Japan!
Shan Zu is a Chinese company, they are headquartered and manufactured in China.
@@mightyMC_edcwhen I looked at them on Amazon it said in there they were made in Japan! So that's what I was going by.
