Fred had a typical college mindset. Drink, party and chase girls.
He experienced a couple broken hearts and infidelity. All these things led him on a broken rode to understanding who Jesus is and what Jesus did for him.
Each person has heard the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ and believed in it wholeheartedly. Each christian testimony describes what it looks like to follow Jesus and be forever changed by the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. When you have saving faith, along with repentance in Jesus Christ (death, burial and resurrection) - you become a believer. You become adopted into the family of God. You begin to hate what God hates, and love what God loves. It’s almost has if you have new eyes and see the world through the cross and resurrection of Jesus.

You need to be personal with Jesus for HIM to come to you.
He will send people to you as an instrument how you would come to HIM.
Ultimately, it is your prayers and kneeling and pleading to the Lord to help you with your problems.
God is Love, and Love is very personal. That's who God is.
