A great quirk of this car which I somehow missed is the card holder which you can see above the volume knob at 6:58. It’s a great place to hold toll cards and a really cool use of otherwise empty space from Audi! 😁
I'm loving mine 2010 with 180 HP. The gears are soooo long :) You dont have to redline it, it pulls like crazy even at 3000-4000 rpm. You can do 160 kmh in 3rd gear, the modern automatics don't get even close and they annoyingly shift up or down all the time. 0-100 kmh time doesn't tell the whole story, it feels much quicker than that. And the looks is amazing, timeless.
2014 sportback 3.0 tdi quattro owner here and its a monster of a car to be honest wouldnt trade it for nothing the looks the handling the feeling that it gives and the big v6 that delivers in sports mode is just a sleeper...audi for life ❤
A5 has a lot of predecessors not only the Audi coupe from the early 80s there's been Audi 80 and 90 coupe, S2 coupe and even the hard top TT was called a coupe.
Hi, Teodor!! Your review was very useful for me!! I just bought an Audi A5 coupe 2.0 Tfsi manual about 90% same as your car here (your one has an RS front and mine has a clasic 2008 face )! I am very delight with my new fun car, it drives very well and has very good torque and power for an 2 ltr engine!! I dont need more power I am happy with my own! Cheers!!
really nice video, definetly different (better) compared to other reviews i've seen 👍🏼 I'm getting a 2.0 tfsi quattro 2015 model with the s-tronic transmission in 2 weeks, i cant wait... 🙂
Great video. I have an A5 2.0 TFSI with MTM up to 272 hp on paper (feels like a lot more). It's definitely a fast car, I smoke today's new Cupra with 300+ hp easily on the motorway🤷♂️ Also I love the long gears, in second gear you can accelerate up to 125 km/h with unbelievable power. With a KW V2 suspension you can do this again and again without wheel spin.
As an albanian fair play man , first time watching you and you are a great reviewer and your english is impressive , i bought an Audi A5 Sportback S-Line 2010 a couple of days ago and loving it , that's why im watching your vid , im gonna subscribe and like and wish you all the best in the future and hope you can get more cool cars to review 👌
You should definitively mention the oil compsumption issue with these engines. As it is, this video can easily lead anyone to think that this car is any good. I own a 2010 B8 A5 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-tronic and I never regreted buying a car more than this. I managed to fix the oil problem by changing the pistons and oil rings with larger aftermarket ones, but it wasn't an easy or cheap fix. The whole repair cost me over 4000 Euros at the cheapest workshop that I could find. And to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if it will last for the rest of its lifetime. Sure, the car looks good and performs well enough, but seriously, avoid it or all the TFSI variants at all costs.
Sadly it's just how the car is basically. Most people won't consider this as their daily driver and if you only cover a small distance per year the added oil cost doesn't matter all that much. Cool car!
@@herrwaschbar9536 No, cars after 2013 are mostly without oil consumption problem, just some models got that engine, but it was revised by audi, and for these older models the buyers could go to audi dealership and change it for free even if their warranty has expired, but sadly many people did not do that on time....
@@herrwaschbar9536 after 2014 there is no longer this problem, but the petrol engine will always consume some amount of oil, but not 1-2l/1000km as in the case of this engine
This about the only 15 minute video I enjoyed fully without skipping any info! Very nice review of every tiny detail! I'm thinking of buying a used Audi A5 as my first car, since I adore the sporty exterior looks of it. I'm 24 years old and just want it for a maximum of 4 years and add approx. ≈80k km/≈50k miles on top of the current milage and then sell it again later for an suv. I mostly drive short distances inside the city with bumps everywhere and would like to drive to different countries too, once a year. Also is the quattro variant a must? Would that be a good purchase? Which model or year should I aim for? Is maintenance annoying and expensive on Audis too? Something about an oil issue im reading everywhere. My budget isnt that high. 😊
Thank you. IMO the quattro isn’t a must unless you really like launching the car and going full throttle all the time. Pretty comfy car if you get one with smaller rims like the one in the video. Would be a great car for you I think. Not sure about the model year although I’d definitely get the one with LED tail lights for aesthetics. People tend to overstate the “unreliability” and the oil consumption. It’s not that big of a deal if you’re a grownup. Good luck!
Hi brother nice vídeo. Did you solve somehow the oil consumption problem? Or are you just living with it? I've got one too, and i'm just living with that "problem". What size of wheel and tires do you recommend for them?
There's no way I know of to fix the problem. It's not that bad to live with though. No idea on the tires. My friend has these wheels for the winter and in the summer he just uses the stock rims which came with the car.
avoid 2.0 tfsi until 2014 because they have an oil defect and the engine consumes 1-2l/1000km. the cost of removing an oil defect is approximately €3-5k
