  • In this video Peter McLeod reviews the YETI 12 OZ Rambler mug equipped with the Hotshot cap. He has been looking for the ideal YETI mug to take on trips for keeping coffee hot and cold drinks cold. The hotshot cap allows the bottle to be complete sealed, but it is also the first thermos mug that you can drink out of on a running boat that does not throw liquid all over your face or leak in your bag while keeping drinks hot or cold for many hours.

    I just bought mine. I commute to work on a motorcycle. And at my job they don't sell coffee. Magnetic lid wasn't gonna work! Thank you for the review

    Thanks for the review! I hear that the rubber rings on YETI can hold bacteria. I wanted to ask if the rubber rings can be removed for cleaning also along with the 2 lid pieces? This looks like a great option that doubles as a "thermos," so I wanted to reach out about this last little concern before I get one. Thanks!

      I am afraid I don’t know about that, but I just put mine in the dishwasher, so I presume it kills any bacteria at high temperatures…

      @@AardvarkMcLeodFlyFishing Thanks! I know with the regular mugs they recommend removing the rubber rings, so I wasn't sure if that was a thing with the Hot Shot or not. But it looks like a great option! I drink matcha tea latte for health reasons, so I'm thrilled to add a YETI to improve my tea experience. People seem to really like them! Thanks again for the video and msg. Keep up the good work! :)

    I found the cap hard to clean. The two rubber seal rings attract odor and hard to clean if you use creamer in your coffee. :( I drag to clean it every night so I opted for Hydro Flask with flex sip lid.

      Sorry to hear that… I just unscrew the two parts and stick it in the dishwasher and good as new 👍

    Can you stick your hand in (with sponge ) to hand wash?

    Hello! I just bought mine through the official Yeti website and when I shake it (violently) it leaks. Is it normal? I expected it to be 100% leakproof...

      Mine does not…. Might be a faulty kid. The two I have are water tight..

    Can’t really tell visually if the lid is open or closed?

    • @AardvarkMcLeodFlyFishing
      @AardvarkMcLeodFlyFishing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, you can’t, but as you unscrew it hits a certain point and pops, so you know it’s open and then when you screw it down it’s closed….

      I was distracted by someone and forgot I had'nt closed it. Threw it into my bag and caused a mess.
      I painted two little yellow dots, so when they're lined up you know it's closed - if not, it's open. A quick visual reminder
