    I love your insights, as always. I'm poised for T2 and ET142 reviews.

    So glad I went for the TD20 instead of a flash in the pan set like Luna. Tiandirenhe has a unbelievable winner on their hands. 86/100 score from me. Slight planar timbre at times is the only issue I have with it. Stunning dynamic sound.

      I am not sure Luna made it to flavor of the moment as there are just a few measurements. Glad you got a set that works for you

      Is that a good company? I ordered 2 beautiful looking sets. TD08 & TD10. Should get it next week.

      @ I have the TD08 Pro and it has a gorgeous build and sounds very punchy and dynamic while remaining clear. But TD20 is on another level. This company has been excellent and has my attention for sure!!

    the s08 is great with penon liquor tips placed at the nozzle line and a deep fit. It pops, well worth the $70 or so they cost.

      My Penon tips are on the way from China, so I will try your recommendation!

      The black or orange versions?

    • @Hijynx87
      @Hijynx87 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ I have the orange ones. So it has a more spatial effect (at least how I have it placed). Black is a little more bass perception than orange.

    Happy with my Prx. Thinking if S12 2024 would be a substantial upgrade..

    • @PaulWasabii
      @PaulWasabii  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not as substantial as you assume but it is an upgrade. PRX happens to be very nice and most of the nicer planar drivers are similar in performance. Tuning matters too.

      Yeah, the PRX was there but I didn't really talk much about it. It was mostly on my mind as I have been listening to it in the middle of ET142 and Timeless 2. And planar graphs are tough without a longer explanation.

    well disappointment here , can we only had Bass and Harmen , when is any Mfr utilize the analytical , technical capabilities , fast response the planar had and give us a more reference monitor tuning , something IEF Neutral or Kamer Diffused Field ( not tilted ) or even just good old Diffused Field / Free Field
    at this stage of IEM development I feel like there is no reason to get a new one , tuning is all the same and new ones really only repeating

    • @PaulWasabii
      @PaulWasabii  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think most brands are chasing the money and watched what sold in the past. Tuning planars is hard as there just isn't as much experience out there to do it. Also why brands turn to partners for help and all the sets start to look similar.

  • @dunha100a
    @dunha100a หลายเดือนก่อน

    What model of eartips are these? Are they any good for planars?

    • @spamcan9208
      @spamcan9208 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The best tips are the ones that fit in your ear comfortably and seal well. imo it's got nothing to do with what driver is inside the shell but the shell (and nozzle) itself. That may mean you need to use different tips for different iems. I've even changed tips when I changed cables because it was pulling on the shell, altering fit and compromising my seal.

    • @dunha100a
      @dunha100a หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@spamcan9208 In my experience, eartips play a key role in fine-tuning the sound of earphones. The material (silicone or foam), shape (wide or narrow), and dimensions all make a difference in how the earphone reproduces sound. This is especially true for planars, which often have a bright tonality in the treble region. A good eartip can make the sound less fatiguing. That is why im asking.

      What the previous guy said, the tips that fit your ears. These happen to be KB07 in large which are mostly always yellow stems. Other brands have them, usually 07 in the name: keephifi.com/products/kbear-07-eartips

    hope some more Nightingale like tunings will come out in the planar realms. i cant stand those harmanesue vshaped tunings anymore. one like another. overwhelming bass, mids only suitable for vocals (if anything) and overdone treble to satisfy the sparkle guys. i own most of the planar iems under 1000 and besides the nightingale and the t1 plus they all are consumer tuned bass and treble monsters

    • @PaulWasabii
      @PaulWasabii  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you can trace it back to S12 or Timeless. Not sure which is the parent of that bass level, but it got copied in most of the sets using similar drivers. Dioko and the Dunu were different.
