Ive been using various Reaper Mini's for our warbands. If We had to do it over the soldiers box would be perfect. At first I didn't even realize that there were official mini's for Frostgrave. Good stuff, great conversions.
Chain mail is really simple to sculpt loads of you tube channels on it but if your going to drill stagger the hole ;) loving the conversions and the paint jobs ;)
nice, I like the colours used with more purple on the wizard and apprentice and it looked like you went for a smaller piece of purple for the soldiers.
The soldiers are mainly blue and grey, and the magic users are purple. I figured wizards don't care about camo and can afford more extravagant clothing
+kiblams On a closer look it's only a couple soldiers with purple, a glove or hood bits like that. I thought it might work to have a small bit of the wizards main colour so you know which warband they are from. Though you might want to share the soldiers between your own warbands and with friends playing so maybe not the best idea.
Cheers for the ideas. Fortunately I already have Gripping Beasts Viking Hirdmen for other games, so don't have to worry about chain. The staff looks really nice, especially as it has the two metal looking pieces on either end, and I really like your sword over the shield guy.
+kiblams While I would normally say "yeah, just got to the gripping beast website, they have three plastic box sets (viking hirdmen, saxon theigns, dark age warriors)," as Warlord Games also carries all three, but has free shipping right now, I would actually recommend them at the moment. us-store.warlordgames.com/collections/dark-ages/products/dark-ages-viking-hirdmen-plastic-boxed-set
Why not take an exacto-knife and use the tip to dig tiny holes into the cloth? You have to be very careful though, I haven't tried it because I don't have any models yet.
For the man with the shield, it's a shame, we don't see precisely which elements of the boxes that must be used to mount it! Which arm for the sword and which arm for the shield? The video unfolds too quickly, you can't see well, and when you stop it the image becomes blurry. The figures are not turned gently in all directions to observe the assembly details. Otherwise really nice what you produced as characters!
Thanks very much! I can answer both questions with a single link! ;) www.amazon.co.uk/Trumpeter-182-speed-Turntable-Display/dp/B000EUFECU/ref=pd_sbs_21_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AP8FN8KFQJ5016F6DBNM
Cool, so all soldiers are the same in terms of stats correct? Like 2hand vs 1hand damage stats still the same? I am planning to pick up this kit. I've never played a miniatures wargame so I'm trying to figure everything out. Thanks!
Nah, the equipment the Soldiers carry can augment their stats. Additionally, different soldiers come with different stat lines, and you pay for them accordingly. Unskilled soldiers are cheap, while skilled soldiers are not. It's pretty straight forward in the end when, but still manages to be detailed.
That is a nice colour scheme across the range of models
+john tailby thanks, I want sure if it would look daft, but it turned out well :)
Beautiful models and clever ideas, especially love the chain mail :)
Thanks very much!
Great conversion work, that kit seems to be so good. I have thought about buying the Frostgrave kits to use as minis for Roleplaying games.
Indeed, and vice versa, the monster minis you have from your RPG games can be used as creature encounters in Frostgrave! :)

It's a really nice kit, I think the new barbarian kit is a bit nicer though. thanks for watching! :)
The expansion books/campaigns sound like fun. After we run through all the ones in the rulebook they are the next purchase.

Thanks for the heads up and for the compliments! :)

Thanks very much! will have to check those models out you mention.

Great work, good to listen that you will have your own space.
Thanks! I'm really hoping it's as good as I think it will be.
You'r chainmail idea is very good.
I feel inspire more option.
Thank u.
No problem! Thanks for your comment! 😁
Great stuff with the conversions, really like the paint job too, it brings out a lot of character
Thanks, I'm really happy with them! :)
nice wor, these models seem pretty great
Great work mate, some lovely conversions, the minis look very cool
Cheers! The kit has grown on me a lot!

Looks very nice hard to see in my phone but I like that use of an archers arm for that one soldier.
Thanks! The archers arms are in the box 😁
Chainmail- thin layer of green stuff and your fav. pokey device :)
Indeed! Thanks for the ideas!
great job, lovely looking minis :)
+unkhter Cheers!

Very nice m8
love your painting style, any chance on a tutorial some time?
Thanks! it's a very basic style using 1 colour and black wash, I call it 'painting the colourblind way'. I will see what I can do! :)
Top job
Thanks mate! :)
Really nice work!!! I feel the need to get a box of those now...
PS: what kind of display is the rotating one you use? where did you get it?

sadly compared to the d&d wizkid stuff they are so small :(
Does different equipment make a difference or is just aesthetic?
+Jesse Hammil the different soldiers in Frostgrave use different equipment :)

Malev Da Shinobi thanks.
Ahh before the man cave
+Peninsula Painting Projects ah yes! A simpler time! 😂
kiblams just bought the core rule book for frostgrave.
Mordheim?
No, Frostgrave... ;)
jajaja ok
this has no info on how to " make the most " out of your box. You just went over the models almost exactly like you did in the unpainted video.
