I wish more people loved their curls. Question: what would you recommend type 2 (wavy hair) to do? I use sulphate free shampoo and hair mask but it's not enough. I still see frizz when my hair dries. Should I add a leave-in conditioner or curl cream post wash?

Exactly, that is always an issue. Keep conditioning your hair well, use leave in creams/ serums. I wouldn’t advise re-doing a chemical procedure on your hair immediately (atleast not for another year). The only option is to let your straightened portion grow out.

You can wear a satin cap or bonnet to keep them intact and frizz free. If not atleast use a satin pillow.
The next day use a serum to settle the frizz if any.
