    I have 13 Si coupe, been looking for more info on a k20 head swap. Funny enough, seeing one of your original "supercharged 9th gen" videos was what got me into the 9th gen.

    You always share everything you do to your car and that’s super cool man, good luck with everything. It’s a shame about the R40 head but even in the live stream with ReesesCars you weren’t expecting miracles. It’s hard to find a lot of reliable in-depth information about the Z7s so thanks for pioneering everything with Jose, Nathan and Barry. A lot of us don’t have the time or funds to try shit just for the sake of trying it and that’s why I follow you and Barry, very humble and selfless to show failures and successes together. Keep pushing bro, your car is already nasty with just how clean AND powerful it is. Have fun at Poconos. Can’t wait to see some Hellcats get the beans from you.

    I keep coming back to this video I don’t have a 9th gen, I’m just really interested in this, it gives me more hope to get a 9th gen!! Really looking forward to an update on this head swap!!!

      Thanks! Yea, I'm still just waiting for the k20 head from 4piston. Once I get that, I'll be doing an updated video and car will be off to MercRacing.

    I’m here for it bro 👏👏👏 just FYI you can also use the TSX head from the k24a2 head from the tsx it’s essentially identical and much cheaper than the k20z3 head

      Yes that's my plan once I get mine done I'm going to make a little video listing how much each part is and where I bought it cause I'm sick of the honda community being secretive its ridiculous

    4piston racing just Cameout with a r40 head converted to 4port exhaust and you can use k20 cams or r40 cams.

      Yup, I saw that. I was informed about it prior to their announcement but didn't know it was going to be released this soon. It's all good tho, the ported k20 head I got should be good

      How does that head work? Would it give u vtec on both cams?

      @@kseries_jeff Yes, I''m vtec on both sides, adjustable exhaust cam gear, cams, and the k20 head is fully ported. Should give me a significant amount of power increase and help make power in past 8k rpm.

    Okay nice, I just picked up my z3 head with no valve cover for 200$ off a motor that spun a bearing, gonna be a nice winter project can’t wait to see yours man

    Excited for your build bro! I have a 9th gen too and I have the k24a2 complete head and cams , but you’re right there’s not a lot of info on the head swap, what I do know is you have to modify the block cus there’s only one oil passage way that is different to the true vtec heads , and we need a custom header for our 9th gens apart from that I can’t seem to get too much info on the oil pump part, I saw people do swap out the oil pump for a type s one but they relocated the oil filter , I wonder if you can just port the k24z7 one instead but like you said not too much info on this

      Yea, you just need to weld the head for the oil passage, use the k20 vtec solenoid, and mod the cam bolt. It's not too difficult actually.

    I just came across your videos. I have a 2009 acura tsx with the k24z3. I’m looking to do the k20z3 head swap on it. I know the z7/z3 are basically the same with just minor differences.

      Did you get the swap done in the 2G TSX? And if so what header did you use?

    CGNL EBOLVED did you ended up doing any modification to the rbc head for the k24z7 engine. I am getting ready to do the swap myself ang keep hearing people telling me I need to do some welding on the head. Let me know. I will appreciate 🙏

      I got it fully ported and upgraded the valvetrain. However, you do need to weld a section of the head to have it mate properly. Hit me up on IG @da_blackazn

    I bought a bare block (K24A1) and a bare K20Z3 head, just still trying to figure out what piston and rods. Going with the supertech valve train and skunk2 cams. Also putting a mercracing 1900. Only thing I'm really trying to figure out is what cp I want. Still running pump gas, as thats all I can get.

      stock cr would be good for a 1900. I was able to push 18psi on the 1900 on 93. Now, if you wanted to push more boost, def go with something like 10 or 10.5:1. I'm just not sure if you'll make any additional power with that. Stock k20 motors revving to 9k rpm can make over 500whp with a 1900. It really depends on your power goals. But because you're probably going to be revving to atleast 8k, you should be able to make more hp vs a stock k24 with lower revs.

      @@CGNLEvolved Appreciate the advice, your build is what I'm dreaming of getting to. I'm putting a type S oil pump as well. So the 7500 redline can definitely be pushed past 8k

      @@CGNLEvolved Not too far, got the block, head, crank, sensors, and valve cover. Just waiting for prices to not be through the roof. The parts I've been looking at went up in price, so it's all about budgeting and waiting.

      @@percocetttpubgmob.9503 i think so, but i believe i heard possibly need a thicker head gasket, but don’t quote me. I rebuilt my motor when I did mine so I’m not sure stock for stock. I just don’t want to give you wrong info

    Just discovered a vtec pin lodged under my z7 head, looking into this swap again after tabling it for a year or so. Any reason you are going z3 over a2? Also what work do you know if needed to make it fit or is it a direct swap with not much more work than replacing a z7 to z7 head?

      No real reason, they flow just about the same. I just know 100% that the z3 is a direct bolton. Not sure if the coolant passages are the same on the a2.

      @@Euxable Only mod you need to do is on the head. you just have to weld a section of it and then you're good.

      Yea, i heard their valves are pretty good. Springs I've read differently, but could also be install issue. Regardless, only a few bucks more or so.
