The Beginning of the Capital Connection SR stock!

- So! the time has come for a new beginning for Capital Connection!
On the 31st of July 2023, new refurbished consist, SR carriages enter their inaugural service on train 1203 with DFB 7322 hauling it as an official launch to the network, replacing Kiwirail's ex Capital Connection S stock. After having these preceding carriages running the train itself for over 24 years since 1999, everyone knew it was the time for a major change between the commuter train that runs between Wellington and Palmerston North. So their retirement is understandable. Frankly, the S class carriages have reached the end of its era.
In the third action clip of this video, on 30th of July 2023, DFB 7322 with train B04, with Morgz Tukariri as a locomotive assistant for that train, hurtles past Takapu Road bound for Palmerston North to transfer the SR stock in order to begin the official service on Monday 31st of July.

It is indeed, he shared it to me purposely because usually I don’t have the chance to film 1203 usually because of high school
@@DFB7064geek Yeah neither, I can't even get 1206 usally. The only shots i have got of the Capital Connection in recent years have all been cases where the rolling stock has been transferred on a weekend.
