Fighting dinosaurs from the back of a Conestoga wagon LMAO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s a funny guy
Solid! This is a must-watch for anyone who needs help getting started.
Thank you!
Great work you're doing here, Seth! Assisting--apprenticeship--is an integral part of the journey. I'd run my own studio (as an autodidact photographer 😀) for several years on the west coast when I hit the mean streets of Toronto, and landed a job in a huge studio ... as a janitor. After sweeping floors and scrubbing toilets for six months, one of the staff photographers took me under his wing and eventually to another studio where I assisted several top photographers until I finally got my own space, Mole Richardsons and a Deardorf. That cyc wall reminds me of those days. Man, wish I had that in my garage!
Gotta pay dues till one day you get to pay it forward
Thanks for emphasising to get off your back sides and go find these organisations! Thanks man!
🙏
Loved this, super inspiring. The best micro nugget of advice for anyone reaching out to photographers (or photo brands) in my experience is the 10 seconds from 8:27
You gotta hop over here and do some stuff !
Always Great work on video and behind the scenes with our future
🙏
Loved the new video mate! Great to see this side of the industry
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic! Wish I could have been there to see everyone in person, sounds like an awesome event of sharing knowledge. I haven't seen Howard since meeting up at Sandro's studio in Chicago 5-6 years ago. Thank you Seth!
Any time!
Thank you for making this video, well done!
Thanks for checking it out !
That was super interesting. I'd definitely watch people like Teresa occasionally at the Event Space. It couldn't be a regular thing. But every few months put on a business event. You've got everything there for it and to do it well. Keep up the great work Seth.
Thanks kid
Nice job Sir!
🙏

I find this subject quite intriguing as the role of secondary shooters has evolved significantly since the late 1990s. We were responsible for taping cables to the floors, managing battery packs, and adjusting stands and reflectors. Regrettably, it seems that there is a rising trend of individuals who are determined to outshine others and secure their own success by attempting to poach clients. While I may not personally agree with this back stabbing approach, it is clear that there has been a noticeable decrease in the level of assistance and support offered by helpers and secondary shooters in recent times.
God bless New York City and that migrant issue. Greeting from Buffalo New York
Legion of doom!!!!
Yes!
@@LastXwitness I got to meet Hawk when I was like 6. He was a weird dude.
I’m always looking for assistants when my regulars are not available. Is there a resource to go to find assistants?
Sometimes your best bet if you have no network of recommendations is to approach local schools with photo/media programs and let them know you’re seeking assistants they can give you contacts for some eager students or leave your info for them to contact you
I really need to find more education resources like this because I want something legit and not somebody's $800 thing on some meetup board.
