    I have a tip for you: please mention once in a few videos in a row how liking subscribing or even commenting helps you put out more content. Also ask for specific opinions a couple times (inviting more comments will drive engagement, which drives views and helps with subscribers). We want you to keep going, and make it worth your while!
    “Thanks so much for watching” sounds natural, but the beginning sounds read from a script.
    Also, please consider sitting or standing with something YOU have designed ( not just 3-4 large plants) beside or,behind you; you’re likely to get and HOLD interest...I think that was a tip I got from you in a video I just watched! LOL
    Wishing you the best, looking forward to your success!

      ....I was thinking along those lines, as well... Not only that, but the examples she uses are Austere, no warmth......I saw very few " Classic pieces " .... but a lot of MCM and other pieces. I think it's fine to mic certain styles, but I saw very little of " Classic " mixed with other things.... and '" Trends..." Ay-yi-yi. I wish that word would go away...lol.
      Trends are for people who don't know thier style, don't trust thier own choices ,and follow silly trends, buying silly things.

    Hi Liz ♡ your videos are thee most helpful! I have a blank empty wall and have no idea what to do with it as I already have a photo wall and a shelved wall with decor in my living room! A suggestion video on blank walls would be sooo helpful!
    Also- i live in a traditional craftsman home but that isn’t my style. A video on working with different style homes to in corporate personal style simultaneously would be helpful also!! ♡
    You are SO appreciated ♡

      Hi Dee! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you're finding the videos helpful. I did a video on feature walls that you can use to create a focal point or just add some interest th-cam.com/video/ubYUOAygMTw/w-d-xo.html and one on how to combine interior design with exterior style th-cam.com/video/i2M-VyNt0dU/w-d-xo.html. I'm going to do some more on these topics though. ~Liz

      Hi Priscilla! I'm so happy you're enjoying the videos! That's a stock photo so I don't know the brand. I did a little searching online to see if I could find something similar but no luck yet. Sorry about that. I'll keep an eye out and update you if I can find it. ~Liz

    What if you really like the trend of the day, and you want to incorporate it in your interior for a longer time? Are there ways to not make it look like yesterday's news?

    • @BalanceRhythm
      @BalanceRhythm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! If you like it, keep it. That's the beauty of mixing it in with timeless elements like clean lines, neutral colors and natural materials and textures. Depending on what it is you should be able to blend it in and make it a part of your personal style. ~Liz

    Hi Liz, I noticed that you have shutters and they look exactly the same as mine. Ever since I moved into my house last year I’ve been on the fence of whether to remove them or not. Every design guru on the internet say they’re dated. I generally follow my heart when it comes to these stuff but I’m curious to know what’s your opinion on them, do you consider them a timeless window treatment?

    • @BalanceRhythm
      @BalanceRhythm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Gaby! While it's true that plantation shutters aren't currently trending, they've been around for hundreds of years so I consider them to be timeless. That being said, there are different ways to do them. The 2-1/2" louvers with the tilt rod are a more traditional look while a wider louver and hidden tilt rod, which is what I have, give a more clean and modern look. I love the way they control light and privacy and they function really well for me so I'm going to keep mine for the foreseeable future but may pair them with some drapery panels in some rooms for some added texture and acoustical benefits. I'd love to hear what you decide! ~Liz

      @gabyluces1413 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I see, I definitely have the more traditional ones. I think I might keep them for now and I love the idea of adding some drapery over them. They are so good for privacy for sure. Thank you for your valuable insights!

      @@gabyluces1413 It's my pleasure! They'll look great with the drapery. You can even just do some panels on the sides to frame them and add softness.

    I love the colors of cream and ivory in furniture, but I find it’s not realistic in my home especially in the living room where we entertain and watch television. the jeans we wear the color of the jeans fabric can transfer to the upholstery or serving drinks and snacks. And yes I tried performance fabric but they really don’t work for me.

    Hi Liz! Can we combine two design philosophies in one house?
    Lets say warm minimalism and modern farmhouse.
    Or warm minimalism and wabi sabi.
    Or warm minimalism and contemporary colonial/present day heritage
    Or resort style and colonial.
    Or modern tropical and warm minimalism.
    I recently saw the designs and philosophy of Geofrey Bawa and theyre awesome.

    • @BalanceRhythm
      @BalanceRhythm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cha! Yes, you can! I did a video a while back on combining interior design and exterior style but the principles can be applied to mixing different interior styles as well - th-cam.com/video/i2M-VyNt0dU/w-d-xo.html. A neutral color palette is a great place to start along with natural materials like woods and metals. I noticed Geoffrey Bawa's interiors are mainly neutral, making use of a lot of natural materials and including beautiful exterior views. ~Liz

      @@BalanceRhythm Liz! The video is very helpful! I saved it for future reference.
      Im really inclined towards warm minimalist interiors.but i kinda like a design that will last.
      what do you consider a timeless design both in the exterior and interior of the house?

    • @BalanceRhythm
      @BalanceRhythm  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chapetines9726 I'm glad you found the video helpful! It's really hard to say because even classic architecture and architectural elements go in and out of style. So what's contemporary may be classical, modern or sometimes a mixture. It also depends on what part of the world you're in and what the architecture is like there. As far as interiors go, I think you can't go wrong with the tips in the video. You could have a warm minimalist base and then bring in some of the other elements you like to round out your design. It's all about what speaks to you and what you know you truly love and will want around for a long time.
