- What’s up guys thanks for stopping by and checking out today’s video. I’m super excited to share with you this new camp light build I made for my overland Jeep Wrangler TJ tailgate kitchen set up I’ve used it on the trail and it works great and I want to share it with you guys in this video feel free to check out the parts list on this build thanks for watching
The parts below are what I’m using to make
The light and all is optional. If you go to harbor freight or Autozone you may find these components at a much lower cost.
The contact block will include the magnets and some bullet style connectors. You will need to provide the contacts that are already on your Jeep!

Absolutely . This is what happens when you have a bunch of spare parts lying around and a need for light, you make something work for yourself. Plus those contacts on the tub for the spare/brake light really had no use until now! Does your YJ have those contacts? Also will be needing a few more made up! Just got an order to make at least two more one for a viewers camp tailgate kitchen he’s making . Again thanks for the help!

Thanks for watching buddy, I’ll have more content on it coming soon . Hoping to get that diesel heater set up and working on those contacts soon. I’m just waiting on some more 10-12 bullet style connectors for the heavy wire to supply the heater. Cheers 🍻
How do you get full time power to those contacts? Mine only have power when you push the brake pedal. 01 wrangler
You will have to add a wire to one of the contacts either from a switch box or your own protected relay! Here’s a video showing how it works th-cam.com/video/mV3zdJJxZ6s/w-d-xo.html
Frigging brilliant idea! I'm wondering if you could put a connector on the wires coming from the contacts and then just wire up your accessories with a matching connector so you only need one block. I'm not sure if heavy duty R/C connectors like a Traxxas or Dean's T plug would be strong enough but they would be relatively cheap. Oh the possibilities of accessories 😍!
That’s actually a great idea, and if I get some interest in the contact block I could possibly make them that way and offer some additional connectors with the block for accessories. then you can just switch to what device Your using or need at the moment. might just do that. Traxxas connectors are good also check out Anderson pole connectors could be great for this too. if I come up with other accessories I need most likely I’ll do this! For now it’s just a heater and a light and I just happen to have two blocks. Thanks for watching and sharing! 🍻
