That's awesome! As a lover of animation, it really brings things to life and make characters pop out and become real. I'm glad you're proud of your friend, and that their talents went into such a great game! By the way, your profile pic is adorbs!
I play a lot of soulslikes and usually hate everything about grab attacks, from their starting frames and perceived hitbox to the time they take to complete. This is the only game I have ever played that I made sure to be grabbed by every single boss that had one. Not only are the tells excellent, the animations are so unique, brutal and impactful, I genuinely never felt more excited to see a new death animation. It's a shame they didn't find the guillotine boss right at the start of the game, it's grab straight up made my jaw drop, and went on to being one of the most iconic moments in the whole game for me. This game had me pulling my hair at some decisions, mainly over its level design, but the animations alone are enough to make so many triple A studios embarrassed. Your friend is absurdly talented, and if not for them, I would probably never 100% this game.
A real shame Arin is the way he is, I don't think he's gonna appreciate much of his work, but I can tell you right now that I absolutely enjoyed all of his work in this game. There are a wide varieties of caviar that come from several types of fish, usual of the same genus: "The term caviar can also describe the roe of other species of sturgeon or other fish such as paddlefish, salmon, steelhead, trout, lumpfish, whitefish,[3] or carp.[4]" (I have watched way too much food content...) and there are several varieties that range from expensive to more affordable...
I've seen jars of caviar at the grocery store for not as much as I would think, and I always wondered if it was just really gross caviar
@@bingonight1504 It can be. It super depends on the brand that may just be crossing the very bare minimum to call itself caviar, but there are a decent handful that usually get a lot of reviews that boil it down to being regular deli meat quality. Just requires some careful research.
I love the thumbnail art of crab Arin and Dan.
The lil crabby "Praise the sun!" got me 😂😂
OOOOO my friend did all the animations for this game!!! I hope you like it they did such an awesome job :3
The passion seriously shows, & I was truly blown out of the water (pun intended) with the scope of how good the animations were.
"They tell you there's a warning but there's no warning." Arin is wrong, but game devs, JESUS CHRIST YOU CALL THAT A WARNING!
it also plays a really obvious sound. IDK, I played through the whole game, and I never felt like there wasn't warning
Time to become crab! 🦀
god arin is just insufferable when he decides he doesn't want to even try and enjoy a game. could tell right from the start he has no intention on making this one a series. shitting on the story before it even began. dan is a fuckin' saint idk how he hasn't snapped.
PLEASE MAKE THIS A SERIES!! loving this playthrough
11:46 Arin being confronted in real-time by how normal people react to his absolute lack of respect for stuff without even having a reason to treat it like garbage is nice. Needs to happen more often.
Nothing shows the humility of game grumps like looking up the going price for caviar.
I had caviar for the first time recently. Would never had gone out of my way to eat it, but it was presented to me at my sister's birthday dinner at a fancy Michelin star type restaurant. And Arin's right. It's amazing.
Arin: "was i?"
Yes. Your default mode is to crap on everything before you even play the freaking game
Crab crab crab.. lol we do say _oh man oh man oh man_ 😂
I am not the same after reading this. I have stared into the deep, and it has told me it's secrets.
What’s a duchie? “It’s what you pass to the left hand side”😂😂😂
they're connected by an ampersand almost made spit my water. so quick and clever
Nephro, the LAWBREAKUH guy, is voiced by Gianni Matragrano who is a phenomenal voice actor and does very funny shorter youtube videos
Geeze, Arin's such a boujee bastard now. He has a crafts room, eats caviar...
Makes his own espresso, which is clearly the best espresso. Also, he now has opinions on espresso.
I was excited to watch the grumps play this game, but instead I got a long segment about food I’ll never be able to afford lol
Gotta love when Arin forgets that he can heal
Bless my grandma for patiently overhearing this episode plus others while I paint her dining room (I had started listening when she went to church earlier) and she reads - she insisted I continue listening to my videos 😂
Hey Arin, we need a voice for the protagonist on our playthrough. What voice will you choose?
Arin for every game: High-pitched nassly voice
Arin, you'd played the game for 5 minutes and were already giving it a hard time. It looks adorable and well done give it chance.
It’s time for lunch and game grumps
hooray for lunch N' Grumps
Arin: “it says there’s a warning but there’s CLEARLY no warning”
Me watching the video: *Clearly sees the warning”
Got excited given the thumbnail and how fun the devs are on social media, but Arin doesn't seem interested in it beyond shitting on any story again. So if I don't end up finishing this, I'll probably just either get the game myself or watch another dude play it. I love him, but I'm already over it 4 minutes in. RIP.
Yup. I'm kind of over Arin not giving a shit about any game they play, and Dan trying to be invested and occasionally calling him out for not giving a shit.
@@DJKokaKolaMaybe Dan should do literally anything ever on the show. Let's see what happens when he has to play the 1000th shitty game he doesn't care about. Also Arin made a dismissive joke about ONE SENTENCE of the dialogue 2min in and y'all lose your mind like he ragged on the game for an hour.
@@I-Roy he did. A 42 minute video where he doesn't care about a single moment, doesn't read, is dismissive of literally everything the game tries to do.
And if Arin hates playing so much, let Dan lead. He is actually wonderful when he doesn't need to think about the gameplay, too.
@@DJKokaKola Nothing i say will change your mind, you're spamming the comment section with hate. Hope you have a shit day, bye
The shark toy thing was voiced by Michael Reeves btw!
I still can't believe we got cartoony nautical dark souls. Best game 10/10
Arin immediately dismissing the tutorial prompt that shows him how he could win the fight in the next 10 seconds is so classic grumps
Today is Crab Souls!
today is crab-ball
How the fuck is Arin so down on this charming creative sweet game?
Because he genuinely doesn't give a shit about any of this anymore it feels.
i love this game just from the 42 minute video i just watched. id love to see a full playthrough similar to the soulsbourne games they played
I'm so happy they're playing this. Arin loves souls games and Dan will love adorable animation. Lot of potential of undersea hijinks!
Better be a series I swear
I'm impressed that Arin managed to beat Nephro without leveling. Its disappointing that they're probably going to drop this game after only a couple episodes unless enough of us yell at them to keep going.
From asserting that coffee and espresso is the same thing (In the Closing Shift game), to being an espresso making boy himself. You love to see the character growth Arin. This barista is proud of you.
And yet there is negative character growth with "CAN ARIN READ".
Truly, he is a Pokemon. But not a well-thought-out pokemon from gen 5, a weird shitty one from gen 8 that has simple as an ability.
I hope it's a lot more than one more video of this. I'd love for them to do the whole game!
YES! THE CRAB SOULS HAVE CALLED TO THEM AND THEY HAVE ANSWERED! ILYSM
Fun fact: the shark at the beginning is voiced by Michael Reeves. Who is the sole reason why the Grumps got insurance.
Let's keep this going!!
It's a great game and with the Grumps it will be a great series!! 🦀
I hope you guys play the whole game. This one goes places.
I would really love for the guys to play this game the whole way through! It feels perfect for them and the channel :D

"When we started this show, I was like a pretty broke musician."
But Dan, you are still pretty...
