Thank you! I've read so many forum posts talking about using compressors, but none of them suggest a starting point for the values. I haven't heard about limiters, but it seems like a specialized compressor. I'm gonna look more into those.

Trying the limiter this week - so far during service #1 it's working well. I was boosting already through make up gain on the stream matrix pair but this adds a bit more. Along with the Stereo enhancer and other things, it makes the X32 operate like higher priced systems. Finally getting the most out of the X32 for online. However, the Behringer Wing has my eye for more capabilities... The reason is more possible effects per channel. Looking to consider doing that swap in 2022.

We just got a used x32 and started noticing that the livestream volume was very low. I applied what you said in the above video and it worked great. Thank you. Then I realized that the singers were much loader than spoken voice, so we mixed that to where we are pretty close. Then this Sunday one of the singers started to talk before he sang, and even though the volume of his mic was perfect for singing, when he talked we could just barely hear him. Any thoughts on this?

Interesting that you are having distortion issues and the live stream volumeb being too low. Nevertheless, it could be one channel causing the distortion. If that's the case, the limiter will help take care of both issues.

I know this is an old post. Just like the analogue board, if you distort early in a signal stream, turning down the gain downstream will only give you a quieter distorted signal. Monitor the signal gains every place you can, and every channel you can, and make sure you aren’t distorting anywhere.

    • @collabworship

Is it possible to use the limiter function on individual channels? We don’t need the volume boosted on the overall livestream mix, just specific instruments like the bass. Hard to get enough signal adjusting the gain without something peaking or distorting. Thoughts?

Great information. I using a 2nd mixer for my live stream. I have a Soundcraft Ui24 for my live stream mixer. On my master output that's where my limiter is located. I down loaded your cheat sheet and I do understand that this cheat sheet is setup for a X32 mixer and you did say that this would work on any mixer. Make sure you are using two spereate outputs to your live stream computer (one for left, and one for right), and that your live streaming software is set up to receive a stereo connection.

      @dariousmarshall2838 2 ปีที่แล้ว

What if we’re using a irig and we plug it into the iPad? Would that make a difference. Cause we don’t use computers for our live stream. And also we’ve created to separate sends on the board but it’s when you listen back to the live stream there not pan on there. And on the routing would we send the livestream bus to the aux in sends on the back of the board that’s where we usely plug in our irig.

Audio QUALITY issue: streaming to TH-cam
Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is fed from our old Soundstream analogue console.
Sound Quality Good when recorded on camera.
Sound Quality good out of the HDMI from camera. (Plugged HDMI from camera into TV)
HDMI to USB 4K adapter is used to connect to a PC.
The issue so far seems to be live streaming directly using a BROWSER. Our TH-cam channel uses low quality sound CODEC compression when we live stream this way. (it sounds awful).

This guy is a wealth of knowledge but this isn't a great solution to the problem. If you have room to boost the stream mixbus by 12 db, you did not gain stage properly and this will overdrive a weak signal. On the flipside, if you did gain stage properly and you try this, you will ruin all your hard work because an insert boost is post preamp. Once your mixbus is averaging around -12 Db, if the stream still isnt loud enough, you're probably degrading the signal with output cable conversions. Try sending the mixbus via USB/ethernet/dante if your soundboard supports it. But improper gain staging is most likely the issue.

People need to repent, to be cleansed by His blood and live Holy because He's Holy and righteous because He's righteous. Our God said to stop sinning in many many scriptures and He paid for everyone to be cleansed of sin (Isaiah 53), and to live how He said. He dwells in the Holy temple (your body) and said not to defile the temple. He said to defile the temple is death. He's always serious about everything He said to do. He's just as serious about what He said not to do. We live in obedience to His law, every word if it! He dwells within us all to be with and lead us in His ways. 💕🙏🔥 🕊️
Deuteronomy 28 there are blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. The whole chapter, and verse 46 is one example of generational curses. These go into the following generations, the 3 and 4th. Our children pay the price for our sin. Stop sinning you are sending consequences to yourself and to your loved ones, children. By God's law you are. If you don't believe me ask Him, in Jesus name may you see and know the truth in it's fullness.
Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Jesus is worthy of everything He said and paid for, so I implore you to do as God said.
Jesus said If you love me you will obey my commands. Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. 💖🔥🕊️🙏
    Praise God Hallelujah Jesus🙏💖
    In Jesus powerful name🙏🔥🕊️ 💖

Cheat sheet is a signup scam....what the crap? All links require personal information to get the supplied help. Damn shame you aren't just helpful and are using the church and other people's issues to turn a profit by collecting and selling email addresses.
