We've just bought one of these - arrives on Friday, can't wait! We test drove all the options of trim... and have actually gone for the Evolution (cheapest). The main thing for us was the expense, comfort and economy / fuel consumption. The Evolution spec has the smoothest suspension.. And ONLY has the Eco driving mode, not the Sport mode. When I was younger, I would have liked the Sport mode.. But now, when I'm worried about Fuel Consumption - why would I ever put the car into Sport mode? As it drinks more fuel... It defeats the purpose! Other than that mode - and a few aesthetic flashes that aren't really necessary quite honestly (LED around the cabin etc)... and a couple of extra sensors that you're able to live without, in truth... The savings we'll make with the Evolution - considering everything we DO get - is astonishing. I think it's a beautiful car though.. And considering I live in a second floor apartment with no off road parking - We're not ready yet to go full electric power and so this Hybrid engine seems like the ideal middle ground. For perspective, our last car was a 2005 2L Audi A3 Sport - it's MPG was just 27! If the Clio gets even close to the 65 MPG advertised - then I'll be more than happy. Great videos mate, I've watched them all.. Appreciate the content.
Really appreciate your comment as I am considering getting one and I am deciding between the Evolution and Techno trims... my main thought is that I would like the keyless start so if I go for Evolution I'd have to add it as an option which makes it only a tad cheaper than Techno trim
The thing that I hate a lot in a cars these days is - not having vents for the rear seats or no USB's for charging, not even 12v socket... like come on, it's almost 2024 year... And I doubt that something like that will increase the price of the car by a lot - especially putting 1 or 2 USB-C. Also it's amazing that some cars still even put the old USB-A ports, like.. there is literally NO phone using regular USB-A these days, even the cheapest ones use usb-C.
I think they do this on purpose, to differentiatie between models. Same with Polo and Golf, go from Polo to Golf and you get vents and charging ports. Same here, go to Megane, and you get vents and charging port and hand rest. Like you said, these things would cost only a couple of hundred euros extra at best, but they obviously want to give people more reason to go for the more expensive models. Also, the "supermini" cars are mostly for city driving and in the city, the rides would generally not be too long for there to be the need of vents and/or charging ports and/or hand rest. At least, that's how I think these car companies try to justify the lack of these features.
A facelift is a middle-aged car with cosmetic changes. A part for the the new lightning, the more refined sides of the car, some more horsepower and the new logo, it’s the same as the Clio which debuted in 2019. In 2026 we will probably see the next generation, a “real” new Clio. Be aware that the specs are not as generous in the facelifted version compared to the previous one. Renault has removed a lot of additional equipment in the versions sub top model Alpine (previously called the R.S)
Yes it's true what you said. I came from the luxurious Clio initiale Paris and I bought the sportive Esprit Alpine. After 3 months and 6000 km I am very enthusiastic about this renewed Clio. It's a very good car 👍🏻
I’ve just purchased this car and picking it up on September 1st. I’ve noticed you mentioned the Bose speakers on the A pillars, sadly we in the uk don’t have that option of the Bose system, or at least I was never asked if I wanted the Bose system. Great review and I’ll be save this video to help me out when I start to have a play with the cars menu 😊
Put the order for this today ...was a toss up between this grey or the orange .. went with this grey as it was the first car I noticed on the forecourt
I took my driving test in a Morris Minor, with starting handle and manual choke. All this is more akin to a spaceship. I am in the market for a new small hatch and am tempted but I do feel that there is an element of overkill here. Once having learnt how to access all the options I would have to have the car stationary before selecting anything lest everything stopped or went backwards, and what, no coffee machine.
I bought this exact same car and it's very easy to use. No overkill or whatsoever. Turn on the music and just push the startbutton and drive! It's a reliable car. I drove already 18000km from 21st of January. (E-Tech Hybrid)
Very beautiful car and your video helped me a lot to make a good decision. Yesterday i ordered the exact same Clio in the same colour (rafale grey) it will arrive in 2 weeks. I'm very happy. Thanks a lot 👍🏻
I have this car (Evolution), and it drives well. My only criticism is that road and wind noise could be better suppressed. There it is mediocre, not class-leading.
Clio techno 1.0 tce gpl As soon as I got it... they delivered it to me with the drums, after they had secured the rear discs to me, and they showed it to me with the rear discs, if you notice, no one talks about it and delves into the question of the brakes, there's no There's no trace of it on the official Renault websites either, they're being "smart". It's very silent in hybrid mode and it's extremely economic driving. I like it soo much. I have already driven 5000km in 6 weeks. This is my 3th Clio IV and for me personally it's a perfect car and fun to drive.
But then you have a full hybrid full option... If you'd go for a full spec Toyota Yaris hybrid you'd pay several 1000's euro's more for a less comfortable and less refined car... A stupid half option crap Polo with 1.0 tsi costs more. Cars just got way more expensive the last years
The prices for new cars these day are generally speaking at way too high levels. Not just in Switzerland but all over the world. Chinese cars are an exception but then again those are state sponsored by CCP.
That can be said for every car that can be bought besides Dacia. A polo maxes out at almost 40k, the Audi A1 can be specced up to 50k!! This Clio is a barghain compared to others in the segment.

@@rlinkandroidauto-xe9sg This is exactly the reason. They don't want to make the B segment too good or people will buy less C and D segment cars.
i already ordered this awesome car if all turn good will drive it next year
Nice 👌

Unlike many other cars, the back will split 40 - 60 from left to right, while others would 60 - 40 !
True 👍
what does that mean?... sorry trying to understand, the rear will slide more?
@@PicmipPixel Nope, I meant the one seat vs. two seats dispossal.

Shame there is no sunroof, any ideas on when will it arrive in the South African Market
Yess … not sure 🤔 hope soon
Better than i20 ? Is it better value for money compared to swift which is 5k cheaper ? Please rank these 3
what does the hybrid do in mpg
Bonjour from Bulle CH. Great video, car looks good! Will probably buy this car this year with the same specs and color :)
I’m watching this review as your reviews are great but I already own this car in Esprit Alpine Hybrid but in Blue 😂
are you satisfied? Can you drive it sporty?

Trunk (boot) space : 391L, this is totally wrong this is for the non hybrid version, hybrid version is 301L
Clio or 208? what do you prefer?
208 has nicer exterior but interior needs a facelift for2025
What color is this car? It looka great!
Wow schön Clio neu und meine alte Auto Reno clio 3
mine is costing me £23,015.36 ,,, Estimated Handover: 31/03/2024
👍Nice

Thanks for info 👍👍
True, in my Clio Initiale Paris i have real leather seats. I can smell it :)
Yeah, I don't think they will be using real leathers in any of their cars anymore.
