I have the YachtMaster 40 in Rodium. It is an absolutely stunning watch. I’ve said all along they are the most underrated pieces in the current Rolex lineup. Glad to know other people feel the same way.

I guess I was lucky. Four years ago I walked into Fraser-Hart the Rolex AD in Milton Keynes and they had a blue dial YachtMaster in stock, just arrived from Geneva.

Fantastic watch which will be a collection piece no doubt. Only platinum bezel on a steel watch with a unique dial. I believe this and the z blue milgauss are sleepers. Keep up the great reviews.

I've got a 16622 and have said for years that the yacht master is (objectively) a better watch than the submariner in nearly every way possible. People should try them more.
@@torqueofthedevil8145 do you need a watch to be iconic to tell the time ? submarines only got iconic status by being in James bond films take that away and you just have a dive watch that's five times more expensive than other great pioneer dive watch brands
I prefer the rhodium dial over the blue myself too - the "pop" of the turquoise second hand is stunning to behold. I had the 37mm version but moved it on after a couple of months as it was too small for my liking. A tidy 40mm example has eluded me over the years but this video has prompted me to start looking for one again :-)
@@hsnaziri Agreed, I like the sunburst blue but I've already got a blue dial watch, the Rhodium is oddly satisfying, blends in with the platinum bezel and looks "lowkey" despite being a relatively flashy watch :)

A refreshing video with top quality items, thank you once more for returning and producing more videos as I always look forward to them. I agree too with the most underrated Rolex although I prefer the model with the aqua blue hands and I also prefer the 37mm version. Strange really as my wrists are 18cm and I prefer my more ‘blingy’ models in a smaller size of 36-37mm, it’s just personal preference however I prefer the steel only sports watches at 40-42mm.
I purchased my blue dial YachtMaster40 four years ago and I absolutely adore it. I fully agree when you describe it as the most underrated Rolex. That is another reason why have yet to be asked if my Rolex is a fake, which is what a lot of Submariner owners have to put up with.

I bought the YM for the exact reasons you pointed out. But I got mine in the dark rhodium dial with light blue lettering and second hand. Love this watch. Its an elegant submariner.
The slightly less blingy anthracite grey dialed version of the Yacht Master with the light blue lettering and seconds hand is one of my all time favorite Rolexes. Even though now that’s shifted to the now discontinued and even less blingy again version with the matte platinum dial.
Without a doubt the YatchMaster is underrated, and it's only a matter of time until people realised and demand 📈. I must say the watch rolls look great and look very high quality - olive green and brown exude premium heritage. I just wish they had three different sized boxes... upsetting to see the amount of air shipped with the single roll ☹️ Great video keep it up
Yes, the rhodium YM is great and I would prefer it as a one-and-done watch, if that's what I was looking for. But as a more robust alternative to a blue dial Nautilus, Royal Oak or Overseas, you can't beat the blue dial Yachtie.

Without a question it’s a 116400GV Milgauss.. the green cristal, Z-Blue dial, orange seconds hand… the combination of it all.. and seen in person under the Sun.. so beautiful! 😍
I had YM40 blue like yours , very good fit, but bezel like butter + PLC not for every day watch. Trade my to BLNR on jubilee, and no regret. But in yours collection is working.
The version with the platinum dial always sparks my interest, but man that blue is beautiful! I'll look into the watch rolls. The new addition to the collection has no proper storage box yet. Thank you for the video!
Rolex calls the dial color "slate". My wife has the 37mm slate and I have this blue 40mm in my collection. I liked it at first and I had to make a quick decision, so I bought it, but it really doesn't do anything for me since it's basically a Datejust with makeup. It shouldn't be considered a professional or a sports watch. Datejust movement (3235) and Datejust water resistance (100m). The thing I like about it is the dial (both colors) and the bezel, but from a specifications perspective there is no reason that this should be called a professional or a sports watch in the Rolex lineup. I have too many other amazing watches I like better, so it doesn't get much wrist time.

I thought they looked cheap. It was my first professional. But then I got the hulk. And I never wore the swatch again so I got rid of it. I have missed it recently. But I tell people all the time. Don’t ask for a sub. Get the yacht master. It’s also the most comfortable professional due to case shape
The one you haven't got. So all in my case, says the man who rocks a gshock lmfao in my defence its a casioak royal oak shaped bezel. Never likely to be able to afford such nice things, I'm facinated by the best of anything weather it be items or people at the pinochet of their profession. Subbed recently really into watches. The watch rolls are nice. I'm curious as to how you store your original box/papers. With as many watches as you own, I'm sure you have a closet solely for boxes. I do put each of my boxes in large plastic bags to protect them. Would be interested to hear from you about this. Thank you again for all the content you produce.
It is indeed quite blingy, but no where near as shiny as a 126334 OP with fluted bezel or a Sky Dweller. I usually wear the YM when I go out in the evening for a walk or dinner, it is simply stunning.
100% agree. A master piece of beauty. I am fortunate to buy the Rhodium dial. I stopped wearing my submariner since I bought it a month ago. Way more beautiful than all other Rolexes.

Do you know what, you are very right. However, there is one caveat with the yachtmaster, for me , the bezel has to be freaking mint or it looks off. I think you should also strive for the rhodium dial and red seconds hand. Peace and all the best to you
Great vid 👍🏻 I got this exact watch back in March. This is my first and only Rolex. I personally think that this is the best looking steel Rolex with the white dial Daytona being the next best and the next on my list. Any chance you can do a comparison vid between these two as I’ve never seen a Daytona in person? I’m curious to see how they stack up as I hear their cases are basically the same besides the pushers. It would also be an interesting comparison since the Daytona is the most sought after steel Rolex and the YM is probably one of the least sought after

The Yachtmaster 16622 with its dial and bezel made both out of platinum is even more underrated. I wear it with a beautiful leather straps as my dress watch and it is just a stunning piece. Remove the steel bracelet and one see it's true wonder.

Nah I‘d go for the DateJust over the Milgauss every day of the week. It’s definitely worth the mark up (at retail) to me.

The Yacht-Master 40 Blue dial is the sevond watch in my collection and still one of my favorites if not the most.
IMHO Sea Dweller 43 is one of the most slept on models, if you have 7.25” wrist or > highly suggest trying it on. It’s criminally slept on
