I have a Hope Pro 4 rear hub and some times it can be annoying when you would like to hear the sounds of nature. But Onyx hubs are expensive and there's others things in my bike I would rather change or improve before that.
I own a Scott Aspect 610 hardtail had it for 8 years and from then on I have upgraded the brakes, made it a one by system, got a rear jockey with a clutch new wheels etc. the only thing I haven't changed is the stem handlebars the front suspension and the disc rotors. There is just one problem I don't want to sell it to me it's a project bike and my only bike. I'm currently 16 and learning here in this country, but if I turn 18 I must leave the country, and go to my birth country. Now I want to take my bike with me cause I don't want to sell it or give it away, but my family won't let me take the bike to my birth country even though if I have sold my stuff to get the bike there they won't I don't know what to do I know I can probably get another bike there but I just feel like I won't be able to get that same feeling bike as I have now.
I'm building the calling up right now for my trail bike too, I have all the parts except the frame, not sure if I want angry dolphin or muddy waters yet🤔🤔

Right I am in the uk and love evil bikes but they were so rare to get hold of and costly. However evil have now made their bikes more accessible across the pound. So I am thinking of getting myself one. I currently own a on one codeine 27.5 (it's an English company) but I want something with less travel. Which can go further as my bike feels that it is sluggish on the climbs. Since 2010 I have fallen in love with evil and one year ago I got the opportunity to ride their old undead bike. It was amazing and since then I was looking for that perfect 27.5 evil trail bike to go exploring on. I know you used to own the undead and it I was not expecting the undead to feel so good on the trails. So my question is will this bike feel like the old undead with less travel? What size fork are you putting on the bike and any recommendations on what size travel and fork to use.
So having ridden a short travel bike for a year, what are your thoughts of it in bike parks? I just ordered a 2018 Norco Sight 29" build and am hoping to do it all! I primarily ride Thunder Mountain but a hit a few others in New England as well as local singletrack.
This one got 130mm suspension travel? Your Trek Remedy got 150mm? You think that's enough? Could you explain why etc. or something like that? I'm new to all this and i'm trying to wrap my head around what I will need. Is there any/many downsides with lots of suspension travel when riding XC trails (when not going crazy steep hills/DH?
you mentioned how this bike has a geometry more similar to that of a downhill bike. will it climb well? also do you know of any enduro bike that also has a downhill inspired geometry for around 2000-3000$? by the way that is the sickest looking frame I've seen! I am looking forward to seeing the full build!

Look into onyx hubs. I love mine and the silence makes you feel 10x faster.

Only problem with that frame is that the suspension is not as active as others under braking due to the single pivot. Looks insane though

damn that color... Think I might plastidip my black SB5 something close, maybe with a darker blue colorshift
It's actually more green than blue, but it's really hard to show on camera. It's got a really nice matte finish that I really dig.
is it just me or do the seat stays look like they are at two different levels? or is that for the derailleur cable routing?
