26 rear, 27.5 front, 150 fork, rin in slack mode, 30mm id rims. now were talkin epic. beast build allows it to punch through to a higher lvl bike. drop in a 780 bar and gearing up.
They never tried propain. They should though. I have a Propain Spindrift and its fucking amazing. It isnt the best climber, but you got a lockout of a reason. On the descend though, holy shit. It feels like a DH bike. The smaller Tyee is pretty similar and the Rage DH bike is one of the lightest production DH bikes and still affordable. The AL version is 2500€ in the cheapest build. The PRO 10 suspension has nearly no pedal kickback and is pretty much 100% independent from braking. They have the value for money of a typical direct sales bike company and you get really good agressive geometry, that you for some reason only see in really expensive bikes these days. As if geometry cost money.
I'm torn between the Yeti Sb5c or the Evil Calling for my next bike. Sadly I can only have 1 of them in my garage. Which one would you guys be going for between the 2? I ride in the Bay Area where the local trails involve massive climbs and descent that follows.
I ride because it's fun and every time they talk about Evil bikes, they mention how fun a bike it is. So if I had to choose between two amazing bike like you are, I'm going with the bike I think I'm going to have the most fun with.
DW link is uhmazing. I have an ibis mojo hd3 which uses a similar suspension design (guy who owns evil makes the dw-link suspension design). "Bottomless" suspension travel, feels like an XC bike when on the juice and soaks up everything when it's pointed down. Their other review on the sb5c sounds very tempting but my personal experience you can hear in this review and then my bike's review, it's a bike that checks all marks. Can't go wrong with either choice.
Yeti's a little more money but you also get that "switch infinity" design which I heard requires minimal maintenance. If you can test ride either that's the best way to know. I bought my bike blindly and lucked out that it's one of the better bike designs. Warranty is another consideration with Yeti because I heard some of their rear triangles broke during testing last year. Food for thought. GL!
Evil bikes are so awesome, still have the Undead and The Following love them both so much, but when is Evil coming out with a true DH bike again like the Undead? The Undead was the best DH bike I've ever ridden and I don't want to let it go!
I am looking to buy an Evil, but it is a tough decision between the Calling or the Follow MB. I live in the New England area and was wondering which bike would you guys chose for such terrain ?
@@nickshevchenko1993 the calling is out of production. A rep told me there are no immediate plans to update the calling and eventually something would emerge.

it's not discontinued they just haven't updated any of their 27.5 bikes and are sold out, hopefully they'll release new versions fairly soon
