I’ve been watching Tristan since I was 7. He got me into Funko Pops. I’m now 11, with a collection of roughly 300 pieces. Can’t believe people were complaining
I don't even think it was wrong for Funko to send him 15 premium packs. It's worth a total of 450$, which is a ridiculously low amount to send an influencer with 2,5 million followers who then talks about your product for 20 minutes.
Agreed that the dollar amount is low for sponsorship, but 15 packs is high when the most premium packs someone is allowed to buy is 2 packs, in comparison. If they had sent him 6 standards or 2 premium packs I don't think anyone would have said a word and Funko still would have gotten the promotion for the drop. Thanks for watching!

Some of the same people who were complaining about funko's lack of social media and nfts not selling out are the same people who are complaining about Tristan getting packs for free. Funko FINALLY does some smart marketing and comes back to Tristan being hated smh.

Tristan is a great guy, I met him at two conventions in Toronto and got his autograph and photo with him. He is great especially since it is tough being a collector in Canada and I collected Funko because of his channel. Often I'd see what he found and I would then run out to look myself. Therefore the 15 premium packs sounds about right since it helps the hype and though these likely were to sell out - recent NFT releases did not. It was great watching what the NFT's looked like the night before. He had a slow start and did get the grail but it did show that the chances of getting a redeemable was low (i.e. you'd have to buy 15 premiums in hopes of getting everything). I think the haters must have been those that have bots and they were mad since that prevented them from buying up all the packs. I just got two premiums resulting in 3 epics which meant I lost half my money though I likely will do what I should have done and just gone in and bought which one I liked from the marketplace. His channel along with yours puts the fun in collecting Funko! Thanks!
Yeah Tristan is awesome. Funko is his life and the main source of his infectious joyous attitude..100% devoted n now he gets a nice little pay off for his and his family's efforts and has to cop shit because of it. The whole family is great. I miss the vids when Grandpa was in them😢he was awesome

I have zero problem with Funko sending Tristan all the stuff in the world... they absolutely should as he is incredible advertising for them... I only recently started collecting and I've already binged a ton of his videos. THAT SAID... NFTs are unbelievably malicious and dangerous and Funko should not be involved with it AT ALL. If you're someone with the intent ONLY to invest into getting redeemables to resell for a profit and are absolutely 100% certain that the systems allow you to do that, you do you.... but if you are looking at it FOR ANY OTHER REASON, you are being scammed. And because of that, Tristan promoting them is not a good thing... I don't necessarily blame him because he's in his own world, very unlikely to be informed about things going on in the tech world when what he does is so far separated from that. I would plead for him not to promote NFTs again. Things like Sodas and specifically mystery boxes advertised as having very high returns (aka literal, actual, unregulated gambling...), are already pushing it... but at least you get something physical, whereas NFTs are a scam on a whole new level.

Most of the hateful are mostly Flippers who want to buy up all of the products first to get the highest prices to charge us. At the recent NYC Comic Convention, flippers had pops on their shelf early Thursday morning and sold out at the Funko booth. The convention is supposed to be about Comics ,not Funko, chevy automobile,Whatnot, Japanese airline, video games,Hollywood movies. Bring back the DC Comic, Dark Horse and Archie comics.

So of course they are going to send him product to show off on his channel. Again, any hater in his position with gladly accept anything Funko sent them. All this is, is jealousy! Instead of being happy for someone else’s success, and Weller and rewards people seem to want to tear others down. My final piece of advice to the haters is to start a TH-cam channel and do it better. Then Tristan is doing it. Maybe then they might get some love from Funko.

However, I will say, that what you said about sending 15 packs when the average public cannot obtain, the creators have to think about things that will cause a problem, like this. If he knows public can get just 2 premium, personally, I would have just opened 2 of them, and not promote the fact that 15 were sent. It is no one's business how many he actually received, so just should have reflected on it, and opened 2 as a video, discussed it, and opened 13 privately... so while yes Funko made the mistake of doing it, its also on the creator to make decisions, and anyone on this platform has to have a thick enough skin to deal with the fallout, if they make the wrong decisions. Just my own opinion, I've watched Tristan for years, and love his content, and love what you guys do too... but sometimes a moment of reflection before posting something needs to be taken :)

It's just crazy how even these HUGELY popular, super kind, I'd say even 100% positive TH-camr's (Like Tristan) get hate over the lightest of shit. Like it's one thing for a TH-camr like myself, and other's only under or maybe past 500 sub's to post way different, (maybe some more controversial content) to get hate in our comments time to time. But Tristan? Really? Why? As K-Dog used the term, "Peanut butter & Jelly." That's what you gotta be to hate on someone as kind as him. I've watched Top Pops for years. I think he gets a lot of hate because he even hypes up the complete trash that Funko puts out sometimes. Maybe comes off as fake to some people or almost like watching an infomercial.
