I started to see more of the world outside of Harlem and he thought that I went to college and switched up. Bittersweet memories at best!! He would lose his life the following summer in 1989. I have such an awful opinion about black men. I never trusted them, couldn't get close enough to them because the pain I experienced as a child. They are both well into their 70's, in fact my mom will be 76 tomorrow, their health is failing, I don't think they ever loved one another, I just think over the years, they just learned to tolerate the other, but none of that even matters, our childhood was ruined, and those are years we will never get back, I resent them both, and as a result, I am not close to either of them, and although they live less than 10 minutes from me, I rarely see them

I remember cutting grass to make money and standing in the record store for HOURS on Tuesdays with my LAST $15 dollars trying to figure out which album to spend it on. EVERYBODY was putting out quality music. Now, at 41, I have a LOT more money on me and don't wanna buy ANY of these trash ass rappers' albums.
