    Always put the lights box on the drivers seat so you have to pick it up to drop the car because we have left them on the car.

Charlie done good. As for the seal, cheap, rude but does the job sounds like my add when I was self employed 🤣

    Keep Ronnie and 1 of the spec lifts! Might as well have the flexibility.Only thing worth selling both for is a tilt and slide and i think you said in another vid theyre mad expensive 😮

    • @Fighting_Torque
      @Fighting_Torque  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah they're so expensive for a decent one. I'm not going to use the V8 for recovery, it's just going to be a pampered princess show vehicle I think

  • @ashleybennett1064

    Lovely little spec that mate but take it from me keep both your trucks. I ran just a 3.5 ton for years but was always struggling with axel weights and all that etc. So I've now got a 7.5tonner aswell and tbh running both trucks yeah it's Abit dear but seriously you don't hafe to turn away hardly any work with haveing both so my advise to you would be keep them both mate. Or sale your bigger truck and invest into a tilt and slide but still keep charlie. Cheers mate love the content keep up the good work and stay safe out there

  • @worgaron13
    @worgaron13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's a odd looking spec (suppose it saves on weight) buuut it might be worth investigating in side lockers and having it as a roadside assistance truck aswell, that way you could profit from roadside repair/ diagnostic and then offer recovery. (Kinda my dream set up instead of my stupid RDT)

    • @Fighting_Torque
      @Fighting_Torque  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I do have a lockbox to put on the back, hoping to get it sprayed this week. You're right though it saves on weight so keeps the back axle weight down. Does look a bit weird though 😂

    • @worgaron13
      @worgaron13 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not dissing it all btw the specs we have are all over the top and way to big. At least with that you could fit into multistorey/ underground carparks and recover straight away. Getting a set of dolleys are a game changer aswell opens you up to EVs and 4x4s

  • @ched999uk
    @ched999uk ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Charlie doing well. As you using Charlie a lot then get the decent review place to replace the seal, it might be worth the extra cost for a decent service.

  • @andrewwise2261
    @andrewwise2261 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Regarding the ram seal replacement......does the rude man do good work? If he does, you only have to suffer him for a short time. Otherwise, if you don't pay for quality, you end up paying twice.

    I don't understand why is the transit spec not got more boxes on the bed for and the dolly for picking up the rear end of the cars that's usually on spec frame recovery trucks

    • @Fighting_Torque
      @Fighting_Torque  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well it has a box now. And a dolly set on order. It's an old spec mate, people sell bits off it individually. That's why 👍

    Ben Im not telling you how to suck eggs, I do a weekly recovery podcast... they are screaming at me. The straps i sent you are central wheel holders, you use the eye to on the to feed over the wheel & ratchet down to the side of the spec lift, not over the tyre. Just saying

    • @Fighting_Torque
      @Fighting_Torque  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, yeah maybe I should have explained in one of my videos, its a bit of a calculated risk maybe, or maybe I've gone rogue. But its a concious decision as I've never liked the lateral force it applies and effectively pulls the wheel outwards when you use "Y" straps or use them in that way. Especially with the amount of vehicles I saw last week with sheared hub bolts.
      I might do a few experiments with them at the weekend and have a play about. I've always much preferred strapping down over the top of the wheel and just having a downward force onto the spec buckets. Like I said I'll look into it or maybe go back to the netting type over the wheels straps. Cheers as always Ian.

    • @lordIanHouston
      @lordIanHouston ปีที่แล้ว +1
