I just curious about why is the "Component Y" so weak? In the video you put 240V in Y and the TV blue broken, but for the "Cb/Cr" there was nothing else except a pop and a slight twist on the picture. Same thing happened on the "Conia DVD player" th-cam.com/video/CSQZcK9o2ww/w-d-xo.html It was also "Y" input was fried and the DVD shut down. Does anyone know what is the exact reason for that?
There are plenty of working CRT televisions out there, the amount he destroys barely scratches the surface. And besides, got to have a little fun seeing the limit, and going over the limit and see what happens.
You are right, but these TV could have been used for retro-gaming, because they don't have native resolution neither input lag. If not, with a dvb-t receiver, they could have been donated to a poor man who can't afford a new brand one.
You do realise tech is so dirt cheap you can get free flatscreens with built in digital tuners easily? Nobody wants CRTs, not even the "retro gamers" would want these because they're just generic CRTs. Except for maybe the Loewe one.
