I think seeing the downsides of being an INFJ is likely to be very revealing.

I think getting "stuck" in your type, could potentially be an issue. Because you do change as you age. Just as he said some no longer fit into certain aspects. Due to life experiences. Dwelling on your type could prevent this "growth" for lack of a better word. By just accepting "Im this way, and thats just how it is." Then subconsciously training yourself to intentionally avoid situations which could be good for you. Even for us age and constantly dealing with emotions, you get used to and more understanding on how to not let them bother you. Especially when they are not your own. I still hate being around sad or negative emotions, of course. I can deal with it fairly easily though. Unless its extreme. Like a funeral or something. Im not even going to my own funeral. 😂 Just dont brainwash yourself into the "I cant, because Im a (insert type here).

i have done a lot of research to make sure what type i am. And once i a while i start doubting if im really a infj, only for it to be confirmed again.
the fact i have to rationalize when i speak about my feelings say enough, and i have always found it really annoying when i do this. I admire INFP's for being able to talk about their feelings so fluently.
Keep up with the interesting video's! really love them! Love your first book and ive just bought your second book this week!

I've found an INFJ at least a well marinated one... I mean mature is quite skilled at compartmentalising their emotions, and deciding if it's appropriate or manageable for expressing to the intended recipients.
That filter, that need to rationalise our response as you so eloquently put Renaud is absolutely needed before or as we're sharing on the fly and it's an inate skill I've observed with fellow INFJs that's hard to imitate.

From these examples I am definitely an infj

I definitely notice that I at least rationalize my emotions. I have no problems talking about them once I do, but I just can't express them all that well in their raw state. That explains why some people have mentioned I don't express my emotions enough even though I feel like I do. It also explains why some people think I come across like an INTP even though I don't feel like a thinker. I still can't settle on a type. I could simply be an ENTP, which doesn't feel as thinkerish as an INTP.

I came here because people were having problems similar to my own. I'm only trying to understand myself and the people around me. Not good at categorizing things into neat piles, least of all myself.

"Are you guided by a few ideas in life or many ideas". Rationalize feelings or share them raw? that's one I haven't heard. It does make sense with how ppl use Fe or Fi

I think what helped me was to be around the other types. My 18 yr old daughter is an infp. Our priorities are very different in the way we operate in our daily lives. I HAVE to finish things, she will “get to it eventually” and have 20 things up in the air that she needs to finish. I have also known isfj’s and know they operate in life differently than me. The isfj’s will run circles around me with their well planned out calendars and organizational skills. Also… they can be way more thoughtful than me.
And the thinking type… forget it. I’m 100% emotional! I Fe really bad…I need to work on that chameleon problem.
Geeze… I even checked the comments to see if I’m wrong and almost didn’t post this. 😖

I am definitely Ni dom but I’m curious about the holding back emotions. I do unless I totally trust someone. I was a little conflicted on that one. I have scored high on Fe and Fi doing differently cognitive function tests.
