  • The Tecumseh 610906 ignition is used on the Miller Blue Star 2E welder and many Tecumseh engines. When it fails on a Over Head Valve engines, the repair becomes one of the limited number of options. My efforts to repair them is presented in three parts. Part 1 is presented here.

    Ed,
    Can a trigger pin go bad? I have tested magneto & stator & they seem to be fine - no open circuits. Can regulator cause no spark on this engine?

    How does someone get a hold of you to repair one or two of these ignitions off of Miller 2e welder

    sir where did you put the other lead from the tester. I see the red where did you put the black lead.

    Ed, I have a Tecumseh SSI coil with no spark. Do have any for sale? Or can you repair mine if I send it to you? Thanks

    Hello , when you test it where do you put the other end , on the ground kill , or the body casing ?? If you get a reading on the casing but not on the ground kill what does that mean ?? Thanks 😊

      at 4:10 Ed says to put the other end of the meter on the case, which is ground.
