      You can disconnect the battery artery cable from the battery and check continuity from the disconnected end to where it connects to the alternator. Thanks for watching please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already

      I have a 2000 Dodge Durango I think it supposed to have a fusible link on the positive and I can’t get it to run the drains the battery immediately is that why it rains it because I don’t have the fusible link on there

    My car dies when I drive it like yours did , i had left a light on other day and my battery died . I charged the battery and was good for 2 days then i go to the car to find no lights will turn on when i open the door . I go to start and nothing no power as if the battery is dead. I put battery on charger try again and car starts up . I was able to make it to autozone they checked battery and alternator and it passed . I used a volt meter and everything read good as well . On my way driving home car dies on me at a stop sign , I get a jump and finally made it home but I still cannot figure it out. No blown fuses in fuse box , but I didn't check continuity on battery fuse link yet . Will check that tomorrow

      Oh yeah battery is 3 months old from autozone , alternator valeo brand new 10 months ago. I even bought a Walmart battery to test out . Next morning I got no power , no lights nothing . Key fob wouldn't work , I banged on my car then the alarm went off and my key fob starts working again lol

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @lanway95 I was going to suggest checking continuity, check to make sure the voltage increases from 12+V to 13+V. Thanks for watching please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already

    I have a 2011 maxima and it died on me driving it one day. Only would work once I jumped off the battery, I replaced the alternator and the car ran just fine for about 2 weeks then the same thing happen again it died while driving. So I took the alternator off and had it tested it and I checked out just fine. The battery is only over a year old. Any thoughts

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jay Neal it could be a bad connection from battery to Alternator, also check if you have a parasitic drain. Thanks for watching please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already

    My issue is, when I turn to on, the battery light comes on as normal. When I start it up, no battery light comes on, but soon as I use something, the car dies. Without warning, no battery light comes on.

    I am having battery drainage immediately after starting my car I have a 2000 dodge Durango I think it supposed to have a furs left link on the battery post But someone has taken it off I recently bought a vehicle I cannot get it to run is that why

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Betty Spurlock you have to check the cable from the battery to the alternator for voltage and continuity and check if you have over 13 volts at the battery when the engine is running. Could be cable, fuse or fusible link even a bad Alternator. Thanks for watching please Like and Subscribe if you haven't already

    I have and 01 Nissan Maxima, I replaced the starter a few months ago. A few days ago I replaced the alternator and the battery but somehow the battery won’t stay charged, could you help me on this one?

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @rodney evans Check the cable from the battery to the alternator for voltage, battery voltage should increase while engine is running, fuse, fusible link. Thanks for watching please Like and Subscribe if you haven't already. Also follow me on Instagram Big Will Car Care

    my car dies after 20mins driving. and wont start. but it doesnt have the same fuse on the battery positive terminal. where else can i inspect for the no start problem😊

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @reynaulddayson check for continuity on the cable between the battery and the alternator, sometimes the cable or connector is broken or not making good contact, also make sure your ground wire is making good contact. Thanks for watching please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already

    What device are using to test?

    • @BIGWILLSCARCARE
      @BIGWILLSCARCARE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Ernest Morillo I use a Scan tool and Multimeter. You should get at least 12.4-6V at the battery when engine is off and 13+V when engine is running

      @Aebrhame Assets is it fluctuating while the engine is running? if so Alternator or cable from Alternator to battery could be at fault.
