I'm like five minutes into this and it's already outstanding. Great perspective to bring in!

    Spartan Up-
In your ad in Outside magazine, you described this episode as a conversation with General Stanley McChrystal, a former Navy SEAL.
For the record, GEN McChrystal is an Army Ranger. He commanded the 75th Ranger Regiment and spent his entire military career in the Army. He led units where he was in command of SEALs, but at no point served as one.
Don't worry, sir. Ranger Delaney has got your back.
    Rangers Lead The Way!

@mark Delaney thanks for setting us straight. Working too fast and we made a mistake.

I would be willing to bet Stanley McChrystal carries a "Bad motherfucker" wallet.

The interviewer either needs to work on his interview skills or his ego's too big for his own good...

Agreed. 'I've just had breakfast with...'. 'I was talking to...'. 'A friend of mine...'

Many interviewers dont understand that its not about them. So they just tell so much because they think its relevant. But its not. We dont want to listen to the journalist opinion. We want to hear what the General has to say.

you could from Joe's face what he's thinking.... "I'm so much smarter, in better shape, and more handsome than McCrystal,.. that's why i'm going to train the special forces in singapore.. the only society good enough for me... Because I'm mr. wonderful, seals and sof bore me, so does this imperfect country"

You couldn't at least put a polo on for this man? Bad form.

Wish the interviewer spent more time listening and less time talking.

Joe seemed like he wanted to talk about himself and the things he’s done more than focus on the subject. Very poorly executed interview in my opinion
