    Just bought this. Did my first cut. Took a while for delivery due to covid 19. The mower is perfect for me as it fits through the gate and I have a small garage. But the convenience of a riding mower can't be beat.

    2021 models of the CC30H have a Briggs and Stratton engine. Some previous models an MTD.

    I'm having trouble in reverse. So do I engage blades or disengage when I'm backing up I'm a 69 year old lady not mechanically inclined lol so any help appreciated. Thank you and may the Lord richly bless you.

    • @cdb702
      @cdb702 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are two ways you can back up. They seem to regard backing as risky (they don't want to get sued) because you might run over something if you're not careful. So you can reduce the risk by disengaging the blade (pull the PTO lever all the way back). The motor will go dead if you don't do this (or the other more sophisticated option). In fact this was what I did the first 4 or 5 times I mowed. I didn't try the other way because the instructions seemed kind of minimal. Usually I only needed to back up if I got in a tight spot in the yard, but this was a lot of trouble, so I took a closer look at the manual.
      The other option, called the REVERSE CAUTION MODE, allows you to back up without disengaging the blade. When you crank up (or when you need to back up) just turn the key back to the left from the green position to the yellow position (you can do this at any time and it won't turn off the motor or anything), then push the orange triangle button, which makes a little red reminder light come on. But this mode will turn off automatically when you turn off the motor.
      After doing this you can just leave it this way and you can back up at any time by just pressing on the back-up petal with your heel. You just need to make sure there are no pets, small children, rocks, high roots, etc, behind you. You can also back into narrow places and mow all the way to the end, which you couldn't reach if you went in forward. It's OK to leave it in this mode the whole time you're mowing if you want to, and it will switch off when you turn off the motor. I'm sure you can handle this, because I'm 10 years older than you and I can do it :-) Happy mowing!

    Would you recommend this mower? Does it automatically shift? Thank you

    • @RVTA
      @RVTA 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can recommend this mower for lawns on homes under a third acre. It has adjustable speeds and doesn't use a clutch per se. It does readily scalp the lawn. Also not very good at hills and rough terrain.

    Thanks for posting your experience with the CC30H, very helpful! I just ordered a CC30H myself that will be here Friday. Any tips for a first time riding lawn mower owner (specific to this mower or otherwise)?

    • @JMMGarza
      @JMMGarza 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I received the riding lawnmower fully assembled. Modest issues include getting it off the crate (set mowing height to 5) and clearing the lumber. Next issue was attaching the battery cables and adding gas. I've used the unit now three times. After it warms up after a half an hour of mowing. It sounds better. Less rattles. This is definitely not a Bentley. You only mow at high speed (rabbit). If you are stuck and it is difficult to turnaround. I would disengage the PTO (mowing blade) and change engine speed to slow (turtle). Then slowly go back and forth to get yourself out. Of course check the oil level before starting for the first time. I also trickle charged the battery to make sure it was at full power. It was very close to topped off already. I still have to use my push lawnmower under bushes and in tight spaces. My shoulders are less sore since I am not pushing a mower for an hour. A definite bonus! I hope this helps.

      @@JMMGarza Great tips, I have made notes for myself. I had heard getting it out of the crate was no small undertaking, so we'll see how it goes. I appreciate you taking the time to reply, looking forward to my first mow with it tomorrow. If it's not too much trouble, I would enjoy seeing a video about the first maintenance (at 5 hours I think?), and just overall maintenance in general. Thanks for the great video and tips!

      @JMMGarza 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ScorpDev You can push the mower off the crate. First you have to disengage the engine. That lever is located in the rear right.

    My Cub Cadet cc30h starts making a lot of whining noise after a few minutes hauling. Not sure if I am putting too much weight in cart. Is this damaging the Hydrostatic transmission??

    • @RVTA
      @RVTA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does that when trying to backup in gear or when setting the PTO. Hopefully the problem is simple and doesn't require a service call.

    • @mtwseneca
      @mtwseneca 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My only experience with a light duty hydro is putting a heavy load on one causes it to whine- so I immediately stopped that action. If the only time it makes noise is pulling your cart- you have your answer.

    • @TurboMountTV
      @TurboMountTV 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gracias Jesus Manuel por tu tiempo. Estoy planificando comprar una maquina para cortar el cesped de mi casa. Estoy indesiso si consigo un tractor o una de esas que usted a demostrado.
    Tengo menos de un acre, creo que es .28 acre. Creo que esa maquina (CC30H) me pueda servir. Nada no le tomo mas tiempo, saludos y DIOS me lo bendiga. Me subscribi y toque la campana. Mi nombre es Leo y soy de Ponce PR residiendo en Lansing Michigan. Cuidese

      My riding lawn mower is okay at mowing small lawns. For nearly the same price you can get a more powerful mower. The key reason I purchased this mower was because it was compact and could fit through my gates. If that is not an issue, I would get a larger and more powerful mower. I like that this mower compared to similar (small 30 inch) riding mowers has an oil filter. This upgrade should improve the longevity of the mower. Small mowers typically only offer the budget Briggs and Stratton engine. A Kohler engine would be a definite upgrade.

    what's the point of playing mind-numbing computer music through the whole video? Do you not want people to focus on the mower or what you're saying about it?
