It was great getting to meet up with both of you. Ryan’s jeep is gonna be so awesome!! Hope to meet up again.
Absolutely!
Would you please share the costs for the new axles and the work? I've been eye balling some Rubicons and have also wondered how much it would cost to upgrade a Sport to a Rubicon weight the Xtreme Recon package. I know the gears have to be changed etc., But I'd be really curious to know the difference

Was the driveshaft and steering all the same? I'm looking to do this to my 22 sahara 2.0
Ryan….the first dude ever to do a full axle swap before bumpers lol. Love this Jeep, ordered the same one.
Haha sick!
That white gladiator in the back ground🔥🔥i see you. Oh yea that's a sic swap forsure!👍 gotta give the gladiators love❤
Thanks!! That’s our shop gladiator. We love it.
That’s a good looking 2 door!
Looks great with the new axels! Jeep is coming along nicely.👍
Looking great Matt and Ryan
Ryan you got Kool guy stuff 😎😎😎
Best upgrade from basic to awesome.
Crazy change. Great vid!
Awesome upgrade, congrats!
I have a 21 Gladiator and Fluid Film it twice a year... no rust. Ryan order the kit and spray the underside and inside the frames. Well worth the time.
Appreciate it!
Badass Ryan!
Good idea with the axle install! Rust is a big problem. The welds don’t get enough paint. I inspect every few months and hit them with rustoleum.
Wow that is really an upgrade. Awesome Ryan!
This is a great addition! This is what I want for my 2dr JK Sport S!
I need a set of those for the Gladdy
The 2 door is really coming together. Won't be too much longer & it's gonna be bulletproof.
I know I questioned why you guys didn't buy a Rubi from the start. Pretty clever with the axle take offs. Lower gears and the ability to lock the axles in 2wd and 4hi. Now all you need is electronic swaybar disconnect.
Great video guys.
Thanks for the kind words, someone was busting our chops about it earlier, but back when we ordered Ryan’s 2 door everyone was complaining we only did rubicon videos on mine 😂
Thanks for the spotlight! Hit me up if you guys are ever in the Vegas area 👊🏻
awesome rig bro... if I put a blue lives matter plate on mine here in SoCal it would be vandalized AF.. take care out there bro!
@@RadCarlos76 one of the many reasons I left San Diego
Ive been watching you guys do Ryans jeep around the same time i bought my 2door Anvil Sport S!! Every time i see a new video posted on this jeep it makes me excited to start putting work into mine!
Love to hear that! We have so many video planned in March for it!
Man that would be awesome to do to my sport! Great work!
Haha, I just did the same thing but I have radflo shocks all around up graded my steering to Radflo along with tie rod and drag link with RPM .
I’ll send ya some pictures here shortly
Nice Jeep Mario
If he put in an air compressor, he could get a take-off Rubicon sway bar. There are adapters out there from EVO and Team Tech Offorad that allow the swaybar to be disconnected using the compressor.
I was familiar with the evo air but had never heard of the team tech version. I ordered 1 to try out and review. Great tip.
@@leemen I bought a take-off Rubicon sway bar about three years ago and bought the Team Tech Offroad adapter because it was a little cheaper. As of today, it has never been a problem or had any leaks. Good luck!
So it seems personally that the Mojave is the Jeep to get… maybe not specifically for wheeling but with all those upgrades vs other models that is more!
My gladiator sport has the m220 axles, now the extreme recon is just a beefed version?
Loving this build, can’t wait to see the bumpers and what you chose for a color… my guess is black?!
Keep up the incredible work!
I have a 2021 JLUR and I just got in back from the shop this week due to issues with the rear locker wiring harness and internal switches. Happy I am under warranty, but its a common problem.
Does anybody sell the axles or do you get them from a salvage yard, what about what can you expect to pay for both axles
We can sell you a set.
@@leemenhow much is a set with 456 gears?
$8500 on 4.56 extreme recon and we have a waiting list to get them. $6500 for rubicon and 4.10.
@leemen I have a 18' JLUR, is it worth doing the recon swap or just regear
@@catirthmttnt if you already have a rubicon it’s not worth swapping to xr axles. Regear and add some cast knuckles and your close to xr axles but not as thick of tubes.
How much does this cost? Just a ballpark number. Thanks and great video!
$6500 for a set of new take out 4.10 rubicon axles.
Just picked up a set of Axle takeoffs from a 392 with 4.56 gears for 6,500. With install it’s 8,800 total.
@leemen can you tell me does this conversion require any driveshaft change ? Surprised that the Sport axles would not be shorter distance from axle center to bolt flange of drive shaft
Thanks
Matt, love the channel I've been following since i got my 2020 JL. I recently did a front axel swap to a dynatrac 44 and a regear to 4.56 for the rear. The jeep drives great. However, I now find that I lose power steering after the fluids get hot. Any ideas? No lights come on to indicate this.
Dang should’ve asked if you wanted my ultimate 44s 😔
Sicccckkkk setup! and nice work @leemen! I am recently putting a set of 392 axle into 2019 JLU sport S, any thing I need to worry with the 392 non-FAD axle?
What happens to all the parts they pull off? Wouldn't they sell for a good little bit of money?
Selling the stock sport axles differently help to offset the money involved in the upgrade.
It has to be cheaper to just buy the Rubicon out the gate right?
My 2024 is super peppy!
Hey guys. I have a two door sport S very much like Ryan’s. I have 2.5 inch MetalCloak game changer lift on it. I have 35 inch tires. How does one come by extreme recon axles other than purchasing from mopar? My Jeep is a 2018, I’m wanting to put 37’s on her but am told that I need to regear to 4.88. My shop will regear for about 2500. Love what y’all are doing to Ryan’s Jeep. Any I put y’all have would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. David
New take out Extreme recon axles are hard to get. We have a waiting list on the for$8500. 4.10 rubicon we sell for $6500 a set
I’ve got a JLU Sport, and looking at a set of 392 axles as well. How did you handle the driveshafts? Did you use stock sport DS’s or the 392 DS’s?
Also, what did you use for steering components?
I’m just curious of other stuff I need to consider if I go through with it.
Hello. He reused his stock driveshafts. Used stock rubicon steering. We have a set of rubicon 4.10 and a set of 24 4.56 xr axles with full float rear out and ready if you need a set.
what does a set of axles cost? Back then rubi axles from mopar could’ve been had for about 5k total. But last I looked you had to buy shafts separately from mopar directly it was 7k. But buying take off axles is a hard one to do, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
We can sell you a set.
@@leemen What’s it run for usually?

Did the drag link from the narrower axle fit, or did that need to be replaced with one from the wider axle? Looking at doing this swap on my 2019 sport and trying to plan to have everything in place if needed.
The tie rod has to be changed to the rubicon. We also change out the drag link. But some people keep the sport drag link and adjust it all the way out.
How about the drive shaft will stock one fit
What kind of top is that on it in the thumbnail?
do you remember ebay seller for the harness?
On the XR axles that is that all you need on the high tide model?
Did you have to change the drive shaft? Regards from Guatemala 🇬🇹
No. Same drive shafts. 3.5 inches of lift you really need an aftermarket front shaft.
Does turning on those lockers affect the sport's brake locking differential actions? Will the computer still try to find traction while the lockers are engaged without a computer?
Great videos. Just wondering if you guys have a shop where you work on customers Jeeps?
Can you Link where one can buy the Harness, you mentioned EBAY
Hi. What’s the off-set on the wheels? Also, are the wheels 17x9?
So are the XR axles wider than standard rubicon axles?
No. Same width as rubicon.
Hello, what the cost to do the axles swap? Not the axles itself
I’m sure the price is different from 1 area of the country to another but about $500.
Why would someone order an Xtreme Recon to then swap out the axl - What benefit is the Xtreme recon package that would garner that?
People order the xr package and then at some point before they get the jeep in they decide to go bigger on the build and do Dana 60s.
What does all this do for the factory warranty? Void most of it?
Yoooo i had no idea you had your own youtube channel i would only see you on cj offroad and cjpony back when i had my mustang 😂 thats sick
Ps any chance you got part #’s for the axles?
Anyone know of a more detailed video of this kind of swap anywhere? Looking to put XR axles and suspension on my Sport S.
We did this job for them and have a couple other new sets if you need a set.
@@leemen oh I wish, I'm out in Michigan and already sitting on a set and in the middle of doing the swap myself in the garage LOL
So I have a 2023 rubicon 4 Dr with recon package I'm pretty sure I have to replace my steering stablelizer. My question is is their a certain size I have to get cause if recon pa kage and any suggestions. Something budget friendly
It’s the new Extreme Rhino 🦏 package!!!
Do you know if 392 axles will fit under a Gladiator Rubicon? I searched for details but couldn’t find anything. Love the content. U headed to Alaska anytime soon?
Front will fit but the rear has different brackets.
So I have a 2024 Willie's. Anyone tell me what kind of axel? I'm new to Wranglers. Had 3 other Jeeps but never a Wrangler. It's a 2 door 6 cylinder.
The Rubicon X front axl is different than my 2020 Rubicon front? Mine has that aluminum it appears(not dust cover) by the wheel and knuckle...did they change to all cast iron at a certain point?
Curious: is there any difference between the Wrangler 392 XR axles, lockers, knuckles and bits vs. a regular Wrangler JLUR XR with the 3.6? I know the tranny in the 392 is beefier than the regular Rubicon XR; but I was more interested in the axles and suspension, shocks and steering parts. Tnx!
what engine does he have? The build looks great
Nice
Where can you get a set of these take off axels from?
We can sell you a set.
What air pressure are you runnin in that “light” jeep?
Where did you guys get the retro wrangler decal on the back of the tub?
Check the latest video
Just curious but what is the price? Match set 456 😊
We have a waiting list on extreme recon axles at $8500 a set. 4.10 rubicon new take out we sell for $6500 a set.
What throttle enhancer are you talking about?

Hey guys. I have the 2023 diesel farout edition and I got it new from the dealership. It keeps saying service throttle malfunction. Can I get it lemon law? Anybody know what I can do? The dealership keeps fixing it but it seems like they’re just putting a bandaid on
Now that you have the axles, you can do a 392 swap next
😈
A.Y.F.K.M.!!! really!?! Wow.
And, Ryan, YOU WOULD WIN!!!
Time to race our 2 doors, Luke..
@@DIRTROADCRED RYAN, I’d get one up on you. I got the eTorque 2.0L and it’s spicy. But I’m still 15 days into waiting for the dealership to do a warranty diagnosis and repair on the trans.
Ok so how much $$$ all in now
Are they Full Floating axels?
No. There’s are from a 2023. Full float is 2024
Is full float a straight swap @leemen
@@livinMOPAR yes. But they are hard to get and very expensive because there so new.
anyone knows where I can get a set of these? :)
We can sell you a set.
Will this void the warranty?
haha just kidding guys. Keep up the great work.
Are those factory taillights or aftermarket? They looked smoked
Aftermarket
th-cam.com/video/S_RVpN1XKbw/w-d-xo.html
👍
Sadly no full float axle, but I suppose that is less necessary on a 2 door.
If you're just modding everything to match a rubicon, why didn't you just buy a rubicon to start with?
Why would it void warranty they are genuine factory parts
If there is an issue he can always say it came from the factory that way
Welp i feel even poorer now.
Can you swap the cast Mojave knuckles on a Rubicon Gladiator. If so, what's the part number and what's the best place to find them.
You can. There pricey from the dealer.
I'm not trying to be antagonistic, but you ordered a Sport and now you are basically making it a Rubicon...wouldn't it have been cheaper to just buy a Rubicon?
Sure, but that’s no fun 😅
It is hard to build relationships with vendors and make content by not doing these things.
@@ArtbyPatrickPetruccello That is a very good reason!
Hey,if you will ever have an idea to sell this Jeep like yellow one just shoot me a message, will be greatly appreciated
Looks so much better with 35's - Please do not put 37's on that jeep.
Sorry, I'm only 30 seconds in and that's enough. Typical... Brand new Jeep and never showing it's capabilities right out of the box with a good set of tires and a mild lift. Straight to axle swap ... What's next, a hemi swap? People now have no idea how good a Jeep really is. They think they need this type of stuff to do anything. Ryan is new, and everything you guys are running that Jeep on, it could do easily when it was stock. But I guess, to each their own. But it makes it look expensive to get into.
Honestly I get a little ticked at comments like this, we have built this Jeep and shown every step of the way, wheeling it stock, lifting it, wheels, tires, etc. please see the video below, WE SHOW THE JEEP RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX
th-cam.com/video/5XXhtShMres/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Not trying to be a dick but with the amount of money that he has stuck into his sport why not just buy a rubicon from the factory or at least a Willy’s if this was the end goal
We wanted to show what you could do with a base model
The portal axles are superior
and cost a fortune......what a stupid comment to make.
Well you're the f****** a****** for saying it's a stupid comment the portal axles are superior obviously anybody building a 4X whether it's a hot rod or a 4X truck spends a lot of money and getting to where he wants it if he affords and can't afford the portal axles he buys them and then he builds the ultimate 4X obviously
are the new axles wider than the old ones?
I don't believe so
