Why not mention the Managers that made these outstanding decisions; when those decisions had to be made. I'm truly glad my team had Bochy in charge: 3 Championships in 5 years! And one more with Texas!! A humble Manager that understands his Team at its best.
The guy who posted this video hates the USA and is anti American
Greatest pitcher all time More respect Cliff...
Came here to say that I like how you respond to people in the comments and I think it's very funny.
@@DaleONodale Appreciate is bossman
Cool dude.
Die hard Padres fan here. Watch Mad Bum go nuts in the World Series was both awful and amazing. That dude was a beast that postseason. The only other good news from that World Series was Bochy getting another ring.
The Bumgarner one is absolutely absurd
What a great rotation the Phillies had in the successful years. Special to watch Cliff Lee cruise through the opponent's lineup. Great choice of music too!
Forkball my favourite to throw
splitter is an off speed, not a fastball
I think cutter is hard
My arsenal was sinker splitter slider and Changeup the hardest pitch I ever tried to throw was the knuckleball I couldn’t get it to not spin LOL
Awesome game!! ❤
I used to love to see how frustrated he made Dan Uggla
My absolute favorite player of all time( lifelong Phillies fan here) I was lucky enough to watch the careers of Mike Schmidt, Ryan Howard, Curt Schilling, J Roll , Chase Utley ,Doc Halladay r.i.p. and many other all time greats, but Cliff Lee at his peak was like watching the greatest of all time. I’ve honestly never seen anything like it. He was/is my favorite baseball player of all time eventually I’ll tell my grandchildren when they’re born about him that’s how dominant he was.
I love the Stones but the video would have been much better hearing the Phillies announcers instead
They all looked the same to me
The yankees game with 13 strikeouts did not occur during the 2016 season. He didn't record more than 9 in any game that season.
Idc tbh
さすがデトロイトタイガースのエースジャスティン・バーランダー投手素晴らしい
Lee was the greatest
I can throw a nasty slurve and I'm only 13
The curveball/slurve isn’t hard to throw
I would add the very rare classic eephus or "blooper" pitch with the steep height and eephus like pitches which are basically any breaking ball thrown at unusually slow speeds. Also, a type of changeup known as a "palm" ball is quite difficult to master. Any baseball history buff remembers the towering homer Ted Williams hit off of the originator of the eephus pitch, Rip Sewell in the 1946 All Star Game. A even more famous eephus pitch disaster happened in the 1975 World Series when Tony Perez for the Reds clobbered a HR off Bill "Spaceman" Lee of the Red Sox who was waiting for the pitch. That being said, these odd pitches can be very effective against many hitters when thrown at the right time but requires a lot of skill.
ch Umps should be kicked out of the game for making repeated and obvious, bad calls. Those were both strikes.
Bros a Cardinals fan 💀
I pitch a sidearm change up shutto
Great video man! I’m a Tigers fan looking back on the good old days. This brought me some joy.
ain’t no way the forkball is ranked #2 in hardest pitches
Strike her out but use the strike zone as a bat and a bat as a strike zone
Change is the easiest, just pick your method - circle change (make OK with thumb and index and hold ball with last three fingers), a palm or choke ball (put ball further into your hand and away from finger tips) or forkball (like a splitter but wider assuming your hand is big or supple enough). Throw all three as hard as you can.
Screwball is so f'ed up!!! it looks like its cutting glove side right after the release the cuts back hand side. And ya just can't beat the knuckle
For me the cahngeup is easier
that 1 forkball was so nasty the umpire forgot to call it a strike when it was right down the middle
Where are the Indians highlights?
forkball. almost no control, and the form and release point need to be perfect. but man, a well thrown forkball in the vicinity of the plate is almost unhittable. It's like a high-speed knuckler. also -- nobody throws a screwball anymore. It's either going into the batter, or away from the batter, and in any case the ball is not moving the way they're expecting. If you are a batter tuning in on the release of the pitch, you expect a curve or a slider... and then it breaks the other way, opposite of the slider.
The bloody sock is legendary.
Orel Hershiser, 1988 Playoffs. Game 1 NLCS, Hershiser goes 8.1 giving up 2 runs on 7 hits and gives a lead to Jay Howell, who blows the game by allowing a double to Gary Carter. Game 3 (on 3 days rest), Hershiser gives up 3 runs, 1 earned, in 7 innings, leaving with the lead, to watch Howell and the pen blow that game. The very next night, Hershiser comes in to the bottom of the 12th with the bases loaded and 2 outs and get's Kevin McReynolds to fly out to win the game. Finally for that series, Hershiser, in game 7, throws a 5 hit shutout. World Series, game 2 (again on 3 days rest), Hershiser Shuts out Oakland A's on 3 hits while going 3 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Then, in game 5, Hershiser throws his 3rd complete game of the playoffs, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. (he didn't hit because it was an AL park). So, final tally: 5 starts, one relief appearance, 3 complete games, 2 shutouts and a save. 42 and 2/3 innings, 25 hits, 7 runs (5 earned) 13 walks, 32 strikeouts. NLCS MVP. World Series MVP. oh, and that was after the year when he'd won the Cy Young with 23 wins, 267 innings, 8 shutouts! I should probably include his september line: 6 starts, 5 complete games, 5 shutouts, 55 innings, 30 hits, 0 runs allowed. Did I say only 5 shutouts? well, without really anything on the line, he threw 10 shutout innings of a game that ended up going 16 innings with the team losing 2-1.
no wonder this shit umpire is shit
I can agree with every pitch in number 8 except for a cutter. VERY difficult pitch to learn if you don’t know what you’re doing
Lol baseball
He hides the ball so well until “slingshot engaged.” Like a whip
How do you have Scherzer and not Kerry Wood?!?
Curt Schilling's bloody sock game deserves to be pretty high on the list.
but he says mean things ;)
@@baseballworldwide9439 it wasn't the best pitching performance on the list, but it was definitely the toughest and most bad ass performance on the list. Gritty!
@@dr.options agreed
Thank you for including Bumgarner's epic World Series finish. I'll never forget it, and I never get tired of seeing it!
That looked low to me
Wow, he really went ballistic. Yelled words.
I kept looking for a verbal missile attack and all I heard was him pointing out to the umpire how bad his calls were and the Ump wanting to escalate to DEFCON 2.
Bruh, Pedro Martinez in 1999 Game 5 ALDS is ridiculous
He missed badly and the catcher reached way back to get it. Shut up and pitch.
0:35-0:43 is the best
A changeup is not more difficult to throw than a curveball, slurve, or a cutter.
