You know The Strokes' compositions are next level when you can listen to the originals, remixes, bluegrass covers, and 8-bit covers and it all sounds fantastic.
This is my favorite Strokes album, I might like this version better, it really highlights the great chord progressions and I feel like the many synth layers make the songs feel much deeper and grander than the originals. If Julian released an album singing over this I’d buy like 800 copies I would also like to mention the visuals for these are also great, and I love the mountains and the sky lighting up and the logo dancing to the beat
Genuinely think that if this album had come before Is This It then this would be hailed as the masterpiece. Really only think it’s not as adored because it came so soon after and it’s kind of more of the exact same style but I think slightly better
@@jacobmacdonagh4070I love Room on Fire’s more emotional and slightly darker tone, Is This It is a lot more upbeat which doesn’t personally resonate with me as much (despite me still liking plenty of songs on there anyway). It bothers me how insanely popular Is This It is in comparison to everything else the Strokes have done, like it’s all anyone seems to talk about and all the great albums and songs that came after get dismissed for not being like Is This It
@@Devo57 Yeah I defo agree, to me tho I find it weird that Room on Fire gets dismissed because it is so similar to Is This It and surely that’s what people wanted but the tone is just different enough that emotionally it’s coming from a different place
You forgot the part where all the songs start with 7 to 10 seconds of silence for no reason.
lol, i actually thought about it, dark secret of them
