Will never understand why this show didn’t get a second season. It’s funny educational and entertaining!
It’s coming…
@@zacherius137 been waiting for like 4 years man
@@jordanhames6860 its cancelled.
It did but they reversed it they might make film about it now
Did I laugh my ass off? No. Did I get a chance to see a representation of what I expect me and my family to live like after we win the mega millions? Yes. I’m good with that. I’ll watch the next season if there is one.
Are you living in reality? No.
He left Netflix so I'm not sure there's a season 2
To be honest this is the best family oriented show ever made
I tried to binge-watch season 1. I had to give up because I got sick of the dad's whiney, complainey, bitchiness.
"A man shouldn't teach another man's son how to swim!"
- If that's the case, TEACH YOUR ON F*CKING SON HOW TO SWIM!!!!
😂 If that was true it would have gotten at least a second season.
"So you bout to flush it down the toilet for free?"😂😂😂
So underrated. So so underrated.
I feel like the humor is really sharp/smart
Bring this show back for a second season!
This show got a lot of criticism. But Idc it was funny & enjoyable show to watch. Can’t wait for season 2 it’s confirmed!
Because people love lies.
The "black experience" is unique to each person's lifestyle. There are black Jamaicans (not all Jamaicans are black) who can relate to a similar lifestyle in this show. I am a Jamaican living in Jamaica that can identify with this show's content.
some of Kenya Barris, along with co writers, and creative teams best work to date. Biting truthful social commentary delivered with perfect amount of levity. On camera Kenya plays the perfect man we love love love to "hate"... and by hate I mean want to be, be like, or be friends with. Hitting the nail on the head every time in a meaningful and most satisfying way. outstanding lead and supporting cast members. Thank you for this amazing work. Season 2 please
Ohhh I forget this is vid is a bunch of clips... oh LOL... on-camera Kenya is a diiiick.... balances out with beautifully written episodes and acting.
You stated that perfectly🥰
Big up to Kenya not everyone knew of Juneteenth. Now Juneteenth is everywhere.
Yeah I was thinkin that
It’s not
This show is so underrated. Like black people really showed their colorist for pretending this show bad because they felt a way about rashida jones being in the show…as if she isn’t black or something
I peeped that and people were so dumb for that. Rashida Jones might be mixed but her name alone is Black AF.
I enjoyed this show
Me too
Me too! And it’s sooo aesthetically pleasing 😍❤️
Same
I miss this show so much. There’s supposed to be a Netflix full length feature soon
I hope it happens. I was sad when they cancelled season 2
I am LIVID that Black As F is NOT RETURNING for another season. I mean get it. I read Kenyon’s reasoning but for those of us who got “hooked” on the show it is very….very…..VERY annoying. Also….whatever future plans are being made if it doesn’t include the original cast I swear I am going to wage a one person protest against the entire production company. Swear to God!
Im just really happy to see Bumper Robinson on screen again.. literally grew up watching him on all the 90s sitcoms
Loved this show. One of my fav scenes is when the maid is giving pops a pep talk. Toughen up she says. When I was your age I had already killed a man. It was my father 🤣😂🤣😂
I love comedy shows like this and Dave reminds me of Entourage or curb your enthusiasm.
I totally enjoyed this show.......reminded me of some of my Black friends whenever they visit us in Monaco for the summer
Glad I purchased the last DVD of this off eBay.
Hollywood's black producers/creators: we're making progressive black content
The black content they make: features almost exclusively light skinned black people, portrays characters in rather far removed, almost unrelatable and extremely caricatured versions of black society. . .
So progressive.
You know he is a real person basing a show off his real life I don’t think it’s that caricaturized
Yeah I noticed the mostly All light skin cast!! I haven’t seen 1 dark person in like 6 episodes
Because you can't see them
It would be weirder if he did documentary on his biracial family and cast all dark skinned ppl
@@adarsh7914 my comment isn't even on how close of a representation the show is to his actual life, I don't really care about how his literal family is structured. The claim that this show and many other shows like it that are geared towards black viewers is almost always about 'the black experience', they try to commodify blackness and sell it into digestible comedy shows and yet the lifestyles the characters live, the representation of skintone, the representation of adversities faced by people of color, are usually all so very lopsided and synthetic. How are we gonna talk about 'blackness' when you have shows flooding tv that only have light skinned people? It's important to consider the history of black faces in the entertainment industry when we're judging current day, the biases that exist over skin tone in black communities are a direct consequence of the continuing legacy of oppressive ideals about black beauty of the visual digestibility of the lighter skinned black
I love this show and I'm from LA, that's Inglewood😂😂 dude was to funny😂
Can’t wait for season 2 🤞🏾
Should be called richAF
Should be called Wack AF 💯
I personally like the show, the format isn't new ( curb your enthusiasm, modern family) but the often subtle and sometimes dry humor really works.
It seems that there are many people in this comment section: who prefer or are just used to a more abrasive, unfiltered take on comedy....to each his own.
It's not that! We prefer something decent not these awful written shows.
@@biokomalabo9468 You're entitled to your opinion, so maybe you can give an example of these " well written, " shows you speak of.
Best show on netflix
Amazing show
How could they not show the dinner scene from episode 1?
Now that was #FunnyAF.
to those of y’all who don’t think the show is funny or are uncomfortable with the amount of blackness need to really evaluate their priorities
you don’t need to comment negativity or criticize their blackness because it’s based off of kenya’s real family
I dont think many people are uncomfortable with the " blackness" of the show i think most people dont find it funny because its meant to be a comedy but its not very funny
@@raphaelsamera6794 what i meant by blackness was people saying it's not 'black enough' and being the judge of what a black family looked like. and i guess it's not some people's cup of tea which is fine, to each their own.
@@ruthalem2834 ah that makes sense
@@ruthalem2834 people do be complaining because non of em are getting shot by police
If it's based on his family #blackaf isn't the best name.
This is truly one of the most truthful shows on Television! #funnyaf @rashidajones
rich people problems
I just started watching this show today it's unfortunate it only has one season
She is right. If she hires someone to make breakfast then she made breakfast because there would be no breakfast if she didn't hire the person. And if she hires a driver for the kids she dropped the kids off at school.
I mean if you wanna get even more technical then without a stove the breakfast can't cook so the stove is what got the breakfast made but noone says that and gives credit to the stove they take all the credit
they need to reverse their reverse of cancelling this show! netflix keeps cancelling the good shows :(
This show was so good.. i still watch it everyday
I was addicted after the first episode. There were some cringe moments but from my white perspective who has experienced black gazes, I definitely get it. Much love & continued success!!
Wow can't believe that I've never seen this show before. I'm hooked
Wouldn’t call those the best but the show over all is Dope AF
It's a great series. A very 'smart' comedy. Couldn't help myself - binge watched the 8 episodes over 3 days.
A lot of people misunderstood this show.
SECOND SEASON NEEDED SWEAR DOWN📍🌡❗
the best black show ever
you must be joking
Not even close, and that's being generous.
I gotta watch this!!!!!
This is better than “Black-ish” imo
Blackish is just as good, not a single episode that you dont have a good laugh at
Where is the bext seasooonnnnnn????? Its easily one the best series ever!!!
I'm liking this
This is the most Unblack black show 🤔
So u define what black is?
Nah they literally named every episode because of slavery and take a segment of each episode to talk about a modern black problem and actually articulate it to having a societal root in american slavery
@@beach_boy1141Showing us in our true form....that's the definition....regardless of what the content, the expression has to be true to that of black people to identify. We identify with Sanford & Son, Good Times, we got the first Pop-Locker in Rerun & Dee talking smack, Martin & Pam bagging on each other, Tommy not having a job, but clean as hell...Shaft, Superfly, Sweetback, Black Cesar, Hell Up In Harlem, Five on The Black Hand Side, Education of Sonny Carson, Sounder, Hero Ain't Nothing But A Sandwich, Cornbread, Earl & Me, Cooley High, Claudine.....but you should know this....if you black....
@Mister You are so ignorant.
Mister your culture is narrower than you think. There is more to black people than your life. There are black people in other states. Some black people are adopted by white families. Some black people grow up in predominately white areas. There are black people with more money than you. There are black people with less money than you. There are black people in Africa, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Thailand, Brazil. They don’t identify with pop locking and Good Times. Doesn’t make them any less black. You stereotype yourself. You should be ashamed.
Show funny as hell
Love this show. Love it.
I loved this show!
Anyone else playing drink when you see a dark-skinned black person, and sat here sober AF.
Marquis is the funniest character on the show 😅
Oh come on i jus finished watching this and its cancelled?!! Mann it's always my favourite shows
Imagine this kind of guy your daughter going to bring to your house. Fawk
juwanna man was in the NBA but was acting too cocky for his own good, so they kicked him out. Thats when he joined the Wnba.
So I guess they had the paper bag test during casting? Is this a joke?
Nope.. almost every character is LIGHTSKIN
Kenya Burris seems to fetishize light skin.
@@norapeace6526 You mean "yep" then. Paper bag test would only let people in if they were lighter than a paper bag.
@@SonyaLCH I was referring to his question “is this a joke?”I said “nope”, meaning it’s not a joke
Anyone can google pictures of Kenya and his family.
Isn't that Bumper Robinson????
@j19 j19 I've had a crush on him since 1992 when I was 6!!
@j19 j19 I would love to meet him too!!!!
Dave is somewhere in this movement right here.
Its about time🥳 thee realist funnest show ever❣️ I was born and raised, I can relate😂🥳🙋🏽♀️🏅❣️🥰 this entertainment that I can relate to. A very small world in Baton rouge. only funny show that doesn't get old....
I still laugh so bad..
home too so I can relate keep doing what you're doing it's not the same of BS Shown old programs.
Nice
Any show with race mentioned in the title is $grossAF
The guy in the USC hoodie was fine 😍
😃What do you mean... Netflix is a joke?
you talking about my show or Netflix?
It takes a while fo something i like to come along. . but
This video should be 0 seconds long. Also, why not call this series Full On N word where n word is actually the uncensored version
Shut up man, its a show
I never even watched it but it looks a whole "joke".
The show is an imagine of his life. Like Real Husbands of Hollywood. Watch this it's funny like 8 episodes 25 minutes. It's worth it.
I love Netflix, but this series is trash.
None of the scenes were funny, not one scene even entertaining, i know its supposed to be base on his real family but its just not funny!!🤔🤔🤔
Its LITERALLY A PARODY OF REAL LIFE!!!
@@raydavis2793 the 💩 still sucked parody or not.
Disappointed my favorite scene didn’t make the cut lol. I love this show though
Who names a boy Marquise, seriously.
Does anyone else think that the dad's voice sound just like Lil Dicky's voice in Dave?
Is that the Rock ..?
Jk that guy is short and small like really short, 5’6”
It had its moments, but it was a bit mediocre tbh
Outstanding show, but never found a wide audience. It was too smart. It also suffered from being too overtly nouveau-riche, and most people can’t relate with that type of wealth. Kenya is a good actor, and he’s obviously incredibly talented, but he’s insufferable. That’s ok, Larry David is also insufferable and so are lots of old men comedians. But Kenta is also a bit of a bragging douche. He’s a genius, I love him. But yeah, he’s also a bit of an insufferable bragging douche too.
This is why I loved this. This was the first time I ever saw a show that showed rich black folks in a real way.
Nearly everything else has layers of bs embedded in it.
such a good fucking show!!!
Watch Atlanta instead of this shit.
What they call its like a parity to ,like real life
A WHAT?????
@@jay7166 it's kinda like real life, people act like this for real 😂.Ok put it like this, it wouldn't be so f@#king funny if you haven't seen this shitt in real life. funny
I could have found 7 funnier scenes from this show. Take Broadway as an example, the scene where he talks about gay men. Just sayin.
funni joke
great!!!!
Too mich dude dude dude duelde
Honestly. This show is very bad. Bad because it gives a very nasty view of black success.
How so? Tf
Hahahahahahaha
Lol
Lame, all the jokes were stolen from white british comedy from the 90s
Funny how you either love or hate this show. This is a niche show, definitely not to be representative of the black community. This show should be called “Rich AF”
I would say it isn't representative of the " stereotypical." black community. What people haven't seemed to accept, is that black people (like every other ethnicity) are not all the same.
Just because they aren't what you feel is "representative," of the Black community - doesn't mean they don't represent a portion of it...which is still " The Black community."
To say this isn't representative of the black community: is no different than a cop pulling these people over because they are driving a really nice luxury car in an upscale neighborhood...It's the same mentality,
I've met plenty of black people like this family. I guess we just have truly narrow minds, when it comes to dictating what is and what isn't considered black.
Or Wack AF
Love or hate is the best way to put it. Not everyone likes the mockumentary style mixed in with the dry humor but I guess to each their own.
@@ramondcisn5931 yeah mockumentary is the worst style. It was like a terrible version of The Office. I hope season 2 is better cuz if not I'm sure they'll cancel it
@@_-_TheShadow_-_ They're not even black ! lol
The show is wack!
Is this comedy?
Cringe AF
1 min in....looks weakAF
There's barely any melanin in this show, da fuck?!?
Is there an English translation available?
