Poor Melissa, she died for her lil sis Scully 😭😢 At least Scully caught the bastard (5 months later) and he died in his cell and well..we know Skinner took care of Kryceks ass later😊
The first part between Scully and her mother worked and should have been kept in. The second part between Scully and Mellisa was a rehashed version of a later conversation which was kept in. All in all, I akso liked Mellisa's character and was sad when she died. And that is why her death was such a blow to Scully and us, the viewers. And that is why the Anasazi Trilogy was the best trilogy episodes of the entire series.
The thing that doesn’t make sense in the dialogue in this scene is Melissa referring to Mulder as “the man you work with”. Melissa got to know Mulder quite well when Scully was returned from her abduction, certainly on a by name basis, so it doesn’t ring true that she wouldn’t refer to him by name here. Beyond that point , this is an interesting deleted scene. Melissa was a great character and it was arguably a misstep to kill her off when they did. She had good chemistry with Mulder and it was an interesting dynamic with Scully too. They could’ve mined a lot more from her character through the mythology episodes.
Why was this scene deleted? Mama Scully is a great mom, Melissa being a good sister, and Scully being ever the skeptic and is devastated Mulder is dead. Love this scene...should have stayed in.
They should have kept Melissa around longer. Or just not killed her off at all. I liked her character, despite her having so few appearances.
Scully: "I still don't know what the truth is!"
Audience after 11 seasons and 30 years: "Neither do we."
Chris Carter: "Neither do I lol"

This would have been the only time that Margaret Scully calls Mulder by his last name. She usually calls him Fox.
What a beautiful scene. I want a sister like... either of them.
I remember feeling pretty sad when Melissa was shot. If I saw this scene I would be even more sad :)
Dana lost somebody she truly loves.
Ah man why was that cut
If anyone knows what bag Melissa was carrying when she first walked in, let me know, I freaking love it
i loved all her elegant outfits, with the crystal choker 😍

This scene should have been kept.
Elas se parece ser realmente, mãe e filha 👩🦰👩🦱🥰 na vida real!!
If they bring back this series I hope they bring back Melissa.
As a ghost??
