Metal Slug X (メタルスラッグ X) is a run and gun video game in the Metal Slug series. The game is available for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 1999 for the MVS arcade platform and is a remixed/upgraded/spin-off version of Metal Slug 2 that utilizes the game engine from Metal Slug 3. It is the pseudo-third title in the series. It was also ported to the Sony PlayStation. It was also released as part of the Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP. It was available for download on the online PlayStation network for the Playstation 3 and PSP on April 26, 2007. It is believed that the main reason for SNK developing Metal Slug X was that Metal Slug 2 had issues with severe slowdown during several stages of gameplay. This issue is non-existent in Metal Slug X.

no lo ataco los de 3 naves negras en el sub jefe de la final y se protegio con los tanques, tuvo mucho suerte y todo es depende de los patrones de ataque, parece que tendre que subir mi metal slug para enseñar 20 años de experiencia de arcads en esta saga

I also have the PS4 Pro version and it doesn't play nearly as smooth as this video makes it look. Same thing between your video of MSlug X (ACA Neogeo version) and the real thing. Are you editing the capture in some way to make it look smoother or is your PS4 Pro just better than everyone else's? lol. Thanks in advance for the information in a serious tone tho. Great gameplay right there!

He used video interpolation... so he actually played at 30FPS, and converted the video to 60 afterwards

My personal favorite after MS3, cuz this was the very first time I played Metal Slug (the original 2, I don't know if there was any changes in X). Also Fio became my instant favorite because of how dopey she looked lol
Metal Slug X has much less slowdown, a few new weapons, redistributed enemy placement, some new enemies, and greater difficulty.
It's like a whole new game!
@@jakebello7988 yeah but ms2 has that genuine slowdown when too much stuff is on screen, really makes dodging projectiles more cool
Its even more impressive when considering the huge lag from the bad emulator.

Not the characters themselves but there ARE differences between this and the original version of Metal Slug 2 with one of the most prominent being that the slowdown was fixed
