You have to keep your knees unlocked since straight, tight legs will limit your mobility in the water. Make sure to Initiate kicing from your hips rather than your knees though. If your knees bending too much you wouldn’t feel the proper propulsion

No, and this video is misleading since it's really showing that the kick is going from the knees, but actually it should start from the hips.
