I hope this video packed with different ways to fill your sketchbook both inspires and helps you. If you're a beginner, intermediate, advanced ... OR maybe even a burnt out artist, my goal is to give you a little bit of inspiration to keep pursuing your art journey. Art is fun, and I'm glad we have the internet to let us sketch and draw together through videos. :)

Here are my ideas:
•Draw family members or your friends, and if it doesn't suck show them it and make them happy!
•Draw album covers from your favorite albums!
•Draw stuff as humans! For eg. Your pets, plushies, objects, shoes, whatever you want, and give them a personality XD

I LOVE the dictionary word of the day idea, that seems like a great way to warm up if you spend like 5-10 minutes before getting to work on a piece

Been working on my art portfolio to apply to art schools (I’m hoping to go into visual development for movies and stuff) and your art is such an inspiration! Thank you! ❤️
And an exercise that has really helped me with inspiration and loosening up my art is to look away from the paper while drawing a random shape, and then trying to make a character out of it. It’s super fun and you end up with some funky characters. 😁 just thought I would share an idea since you shared so many cool ones of yours!

I would suggest colored pencils. Not even expensive ones just crayola. Or Walmart paints and brushes. They arent expensive but look good

I like creating characters from single color/color palette/a name/ anything else because it makes my mind just POP so creatively and it's fun to do! Really recommend 👍
I use the word method with pictionary app on my phone. It's great cause it has difficulty levels so you can choose to draw something really simple or challenge yourself :)

While I don't care about figure drawing or drawing faces, I think your other ideas are great and I plan to use some of them in my sketchbook on days when I just can't get my mind to come up with original ideas. I hope you keep coming up with interesting ways to fill sketchbooks as I think it is important to do some type of art work each day. Doing it in a sketchbook helps me see what areas I need to continue working to improve either on techniques or ideas.

I read this in a comment and found it very helpful. Another idea to fill your sketchbook is to draw your dreams. It can be fun!
I also noticed that your left handed , thats something I rarely see for artists on TH-cam , you have inspired me to do more in my sketch books, I tend to be focused on finished art pieces.
I think it is odd that people worry about filling a sketchbook, I thought SketchBook’s were for ideas, how to work out troubling problems or creating a log for future paintings, drawings, projects that you might want to do someday! Really wonderful video and great ideas, I think TH-cam puts too much stress on artists to fill a sketchbook! Thanks for working so hard and sharing your journey with us.

If you do an Inktober ideas video I thought of something this year, that helped me like crazy.
For each prompt word, I wrote an English Haiku (Japanese Haikus are always based in nature, and pretty much none of my Haikus are lol) for each.
This year, the prompt words didn't inspire me right away. I started worrying until I thought of trying to write a poem about one of them. I started prepping for Inktober back at the beginning of the month because of my disease making me pretty unreliable, I wanted to do as much while I felt up for it, as I possibly could.
Anyway, writing a poem gives you a whole world of words and ideas, and so although the prompt words are one single word a day, the words you get from writing a poem keeps the theme, while giving you more to work with.
I actually even came up with a whole short story last night, surrounding the word "treasure", that has little to nothing to do with the actual word itself. Yet the thumbnail I drew totally encapsulated the word "treasure."
Anyway, I hope that helps someone.

I love these types of videos from you, sketchbooks should be fun and relaxing, there shouldn't be this push to fill up every single page and that every page needs to be 100% polished and finished. I love the silhouette idea, I'm currently mapping out my drawings for Inktober/Furrytober and I think for some of the days prompts I'll use that idea. I've got some really nice metallic acrylic inks that I can use as accents
