He is doing a great job and the audience is awful. Sure, its a canned track but still....they are working him overtime for some gratitude, poor Stephen.
I've loved this guy's songs since I didn't know when, and actually, I didn't know it was him!! I live in the Antipodes and I love how he is so REAL, super REAL...IF only I could write a song like that to match 'you make me feel, mighty real' thanks for the music!!
@@robmorrison1043 Nice! Ya, looked it up, ...Russ Kunkel on drums, Chuka Khan on bkg vocals. Not too shabby lineup on his album! I still laugh though when I think of that cameo scene he did in Animal House, where Belushi's character totally smashes his guitar! EPIC!
He has such a beautiful voice, and the lyrics are gorgeous. This type of song is what i would like to hear in 2023. Positive and clean music without the boring lyrics. What a talent! 🎵🎸🎹🎤
@@lisamoroney3036 Sure, it was likely a backing track. That doesn't mean he wasn't singing his part live. A studio records on multiple tracks. One of them is for the lead singer, which they can mute if he's going to sing live. Merv Griffin sang the song, On & On, not long after this is performance. I don't know if it was a backing track or an unseen band, but Merv did a good job.
Crap? Polished, sophisticated, well crafted and top shelf production, arranged and musicianship. If that's crap, give me all crap all day! Eric Clapton played solo and Chaka Khan back up vocals
@@robmorrison1043 "Polished, sophisticated, well crafted and top shelf production" yes - that is what i said "top quality" .. but still essentially crap..
@Elleon DeMuskeres there is the lyrical power of Janis Ian, Joni Mitchel and Momus.. or the musical depth of Frank Zappa, Miles Davis and the Who Live at Leeds.. or the visceral coming together of the two with the Replacements and the Pretty Things..
He reminds me of Gerry Rafferty.
That’s what I’m hoping Jesus looks like when I go to heaven! Guitar and all!
If Jesus sings the Pina Colada song...magic
Dang. I get it.
@@shelbykennedy1566 lol right?
I always think that he is so gorgeous
he is charming!
Stephen Bishop rocks
Yes he does!
Was always dumb when they forced artists to lip sync to their studio tracks
What a beautifull song I LOVE IT❤ great memories👍👌
He is so handsome
I had not realized -though
unnmistakable- the background vocalist was
Chaka Khan. His style in general had a uniquely
dreamy feel to it.
And the guitar solo was played by Eric Clapton.
I remember this guy from the seventies. Song brings back memories. Have not heard this in years.

The general population is like monkeys. Only jump when instructed to by the ones they “look up to” aka whoever the labels tell you to like
Smooth and talented cat!

Luv his voice and music sweet and sexy too
I like the changes in this tune. Had to laugh out loud when he “played” the guitar solo on his acoustic.
Wait...that wasn't live? lol
Eric Clapton played the solo on album

I think it should’ve been “shave it for a rainy day”?
You funny
God what a fantastic decade ❤
This song gets stuck in my head ...............all day.........LONG..............🥰🌧🙏🏻
I wish it was live..but nice to see him anyways à
Great songwriting ❤
On the. On. A. Canção. Fa. Adolescencia. 2977. Stephen bishop
Save it for a rainy day 👌🏾
Great song
On and on, great beach music :)
I heart SB
That crowd is basically the living dead.. not one person groov'n.
Wish it was live...
Me encanta este cantante , su voz, su música y el , se me hace atractivo e interesante.
this guy has my 70s/80s hair, damn i miss it! 😥
Did he just play that acoustic guitar through a wah pedal?
Esta musica tiene que volver
Great song but I hate that its canned music
Ok hold up, where is
CHAKA?
Love this guy. Bish is my favorite LP.
Have this LP
Merv was always so nice.
Merv did a great job of singing On & On the next day! It surprised me.
Love these two songs
Stepgen's a baaad mama jama! 😍
Smoooooooth - On & On
Lipsync
Even in front of a live audience,he lip synced ?
No. He's just that good. Only the background track pre-recorded.
Bish. So gorgeous! And , his music is great too !! Why was this all lip synced ? Bummer !
Why do you think it was lip synced?
@@FLHamel it’s pretty obvious . They even have the backing music on , women singing , - drums , etc …def all lip synced .

you obviously need a hearing aid!
Stephen reminds me of Adam Sandler a little... even sounds like him... hehe... : ) I think Merv is flirting with him too.
