This is fantastic! I really like this option in pockets .sometimes I want a pocket that is deep and easy to access the contents without going through zipper. Great tutorial, you made it so clear to follow 👍👍.
    Thank you very much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I always thought a welt pocket would be difficult, so I never tried it. You actually make it look so easy, as usual. I think this type of pocket gives a professional look to any garment or craft. Next I’m watching your big bag video for more inspiration! ❤😊

Can I let you in on a little secret Susan? It was my first time doing a welt pocket. I too, thought it would be more difficult 😁

I enjoy these back to basics tutorials. Very handy for a bit of revision or new sewers beginning their sewing journey.
Plackets for sleeve cuffs are the thing that is doing my head in at the moment, trying to get them to sit flat. 😒

do a half moon on the ends instead of a straight line, it will come out nice and turn better. slightly rounded corners instead of a sharp 90. the first time my tailoring teacher taught me how to do a welt pocket so easy, I danced I was so excited. This is an easy way! thank you!

I like watching your videos. I do have a question for, I have scrubs, I have a hard keeping them up, they do have a draw string they still fall down on me. Any suggestions what to add keep them up. I was thinking a zipper. I do have elastic ones as well them seem fall down too. I have looked for videos there isnt any. Thank you for the help.

Thanks Traceyann. My first thought was to add some elastic to the back half of the waist, and have the drawstring in the front section, but if that's not working for you, how about a suspender strap? Is that something that could work under your scrub top, to hold pants up?
