Happiness comes from the days where i dont blow my back out at work no matter how much they say theyd pay me. Bc if i have a knot in my back while im spending that money i still dont enjoy it.
And i should have quit that job after i had enough money but i stayed JUST a little bit longer for JUST another tiny paycheck and now ive had a knot in my back for 2 years.
When the money is gone. The knot in my back will still be there.
Dont work hard. Just do whats correct and no more. Dont prove yourself to old men who also have bad backs. If youre strong, you get used and injured until youre weak, but with big muscles. The muscles will leave. But the injury stays.
I was only 26 and picked up a toolbox. Not a big heavy piece of wood or glass or concrete. But going all the way every day with no lasting rest added up to only a toolbox. At a job with literally "no sick days".

I always feel conflicted when I see others chasing 24/7 and feel as if im missing out. Then im reminded by the flock of birds flying over me that its not all about things. Its ok to be happy with the small yet beautiful moments in life. God bless you reader 🙏

If you love what you have you have everything that you will ever need
Too many people focusing on the everything you will ever need instead of focusing on making sure you are loving enough what you already have

We need to strive towards reforming our current systems. A financially dependant system is doomed from the start. Humanity is mentally and time-wise deteriorating. The begining is focusing on UBI (universal basic income, see Finland, Kenya, Iceland or such) and the use of renewable energies. Once the 9-5 system shortens to 4 hours or less, then we will have some taste of freedom. Because currently, our free time isn't truly our own. It is a fact that whenever you're forced to be somewhere, like it or not, if you're forced to be somewhere at some time and stay for some time, you aren't truly free. Even in your free time, you are impacted by the time which was consumed prior to it AND by thoughts of of the time which will forcibly be consumed the next day. That is not freedom, it is an illusion. Humanity needs to reform its' systems and allow for freedom and creativity to flourish.

    Alan Watts
Don't measure the quality of your day by the amount of productivity
But value it based on how much present minded you are and living in the moment
Life is a dance the point of dancing is to enjoy the moment not to speed run the choreography or try to achieve a score

A word scribbled, tiny, on the torn edge of a trash piece of paper
By a loved one who passed away
Is worth more than all the treasures of the world
But to anyone else it is just what it is at a glance, or even second thought
It was the caliber of the quality of person who wrote on it, that made it so valuable
But it was free for them to give
    And cost you nothing
    The idea is weightless
    Yet heavy
And you can carry it wherever you go
Like a cool breeze is blowing on only you, all the time
    In the summer
And a warm blanket that can only ever be yours is covering only you
    In the winter
And to anyone else the power is invisible
These things transcend our societys concept of money or fame or perceived value.
The curse is only you know it.
    But the blessing is
    Only you know it.
Otherwise theyd come tax you for it or take yours away- mass produce it to a fraction of its quality and meaning lol
The point is, they are gone. Riches mean ("mean") nothing.
And why arent you creating that value for someone else? Its free
And all it costs you is to be good which you should do anyway and especially good to them.
Their love can make you better. This is why people need to love. And not look at progress on papers and charts. Your love can move someone else like moving a mountain. All with a little scribble, on a torn shred of paper.
The masters can do it with a smile or a look.
    Some just from their presence.

But it's about time epicurean philosophy is getting its due
