Gojo has been depicted as this untouchable beast throughout JJK. Literally called the strongest. To see him get his butt absolutely handed to him by someone with no cursed energy is just insane 😭, but the boss music when Toji was stalking kid Gojo had me dying 🤣, dude really has beef with an 8 year old kid 😭🤣
Let's not downplay it like he got cleared by a pleb with no cursed energy. It's a heavenly pact that's on par with Special Grade Sorcerers and he didn't stand a chance against Gojo unless he was tired and dropped his guard. He would've gotten cleared by Gojo who didn't even know reversal red had they were both on even terms. Gojo did get humbled but don't act like Toji didn't make it in his favor because he knew Gojo is and still is the strongest 🤡
And later u get more context and will be like dammn toji same guy who gives nightmares to zenin clan.. Which is rival of gojos clan with just his name had to prep that much to guarantee win against teen gojo

The fact Toji could have EASILY ran up and stabbed Riko before Geto could even blink but was just too lazy so he shot her instead is just hilarious characterization, that on top of the fact he must have literally been chilling in that hallway just waiting for her to finish her beautiful speech before promptly executing her is peak menace behavior. At the beginning, the scene where Riko was underwater was actually symbolizing that she was ready to change, or transform from her old phase to a new one. That's because her whole life, she thought that she was supposed to live on as a vessel but she always had a bottled up desire to live freely.
It also signifies deep emotions and unresolved feelings that need to be explored. It's a pretty cool Easter egg where you try and relate what certain things mean and bring them to life

Tengen isn't about good or bad, its about what's necessary. There are barriers all over Japan and in JJK which both help Jujutsu sorcerers and average people live.
It also helps them seal dangerous cursed objects, tools, relics, etc. Like Sukuna's fingers or the Cursed Womb.
Tengen doesn't have any autonomy either mind you. He has to sit under layers and layers of earth and barriers....forever. Protecting humanity with no recognition. And his own ability puts that in jeopardy because he can lose his own will which kept him going.
It sucks for all parties but you got to what you got to do.
Yea and at least riko wont be concsious , tengen literally has to sit there for ever if anything he has it worse beause he somewhat has the ability to do things but cant due to his purpose. If you think about it rikos fate is better than what tengens will be from now on.

So toji actions alone shaped the entire present JJK story. Amani doesn’t merge with Tengen and all the Barriers across Tokyo keeping curses back are very weakened. Also Geto probably snaps here knowing Gojo got defeated “per say” and Amani killed right in front of him. Next episode gonna be an absolute banger 🔥 🔥

no he was just doubting the purposes of all sorcerers including himself who couldn’t protect his friends (you will see) and the innocent people, his philosophy literally switched with gojo in the movie. also toji is definitely not a regular person lol he can see curses it’s just that he’s from the zenin clan so he was born with heavenly restriction (insane physical but no cursed energy like maki)

@@hto7274With this arc we seed the slow destruction of Gojo & Geto's status quo, this indestructible bubble that they have -- "we are the strongest". It's not so much Riko's death that sets Geto off, but the fact that the bubble is broken. Being the strongest is a burden, but it also gives them some degree of freedom to carry out their own agency -- i.e going against their orders to assimilate Riko because worst comes to worst, they know they can always come out on top. Toji is essentially what shatters that notion, grinds it under his heel like it's trash. After this defeat, Gojo doubles down, becomes The Strongest by himself because he never wants to let anything like that happen again. Geto is left behind, and without the sense of safety and power that he had with Gojo, he questions if the beliefs he holds about his duty to protect actually mean anything anymore. Gojo never needed a Big Reason to be a sorcerer, but Geto did, because he is insecure. His obligation to be a sorcerer is all he's ever known, the only sense of self that he has. Gojo knows he can do anything, but he also relies on Geto to point them in the right direction. But the more Geto becomes aware of the futility of his actions, that burden becomes much more of a bitter pill to swallow. All that devotion and sense of duty has nowhere to go. So it festers, turns into resentment. Until eventually resentment is all that remains.

Geto was truly an angel, so sweet and with such a good heart and I don't care he became a villain, he is still my fav character. I know what coused his change and I think it is reasonable but he deserved so much better :(

Geto could absorb any special grade cursed spirit defeated by Gojo. They would be unbeatable.

gojo wasn’t pushing Toji back because gojo standard blue ability is to attract and bring things closer to him so basically so toji pushed himself back.
This is one of the reason Geto fell down a dark path. Plus author statement is sad too.
Toji analysis part 1.
Toji is... weird. Probably one of the most complex characters in jjk. While he presents himself as an asshole, there are undoubtedly layers to his behavior.
First of all, I think he is slightly, if not, totally crazy. Honestly if he was to be a Jujutsu sorcerer, he would be a great one - might even be on par with Gojo. Sadly he was not.
His is the rare case of Celestial Restriction that manifest sometimes in Zen’in children (translated as “Heavenly Restriction”. I like to use Celestial Restriction since the japanese term is neutral, not implying heaven or hell - just something otherwordly).
Now imagine being a kid with no curse energy born into a family who’s obsessed with bloodlines and innate talents. Having a bad childhood is probably understatement (it was confirmed by the author they abused him) . I mean, Maki is fed up with her situation at home. Even more, Touji is male - who was possibly expected to be an heir to one of the Great Family, but then born without curse energy. A huge disappointment to the family who prized talents over anything else.
He then grew up and finally decided to leave the clan. But it couldn’t be that easy for him - for family as powerful as Zen’in must had their hands everywhere. And thus born his hatred for sorcerers. That’s probably why he started killing sorcerers. He was cunning and knowledgeable about innate talents inherited in sorcerer families, and soon became infamous as Sorcerer killer.
His ability and strength to defeat and kill sorcerer, especially the one with innate talents, made him prideful. There could also be a motive to prove that he was better than the sorcerers that shunned him.
Then he met Megumi’s mom and married her. I think Megumi being born really changed Touji. He threw away his pride, for his baby that he probably had yet to meet at that point - to take care and keep Megumi alive.

I will share my thoughts, Tengen sama is doing good for the world. The constant reset every 500 years keeps him at a status quo. But you are right as well, whether did anyone ask for it.
My personal take is it is just up to chance and the risk we are willing to take. It is a deduction that as Tengen stays immortal while his body ages(skins, muscle, brain) crumbles away in time. He will evolve and may not act as in will as how he is now.
BUT BUT, it is just a possibility. No one ever seen or confirm IT WILL HAPPEN.
Like the analogy of Tengen; Koromon > Agumon > Greymon, Greymon can become MetalGreymon(which everything is fine). It’s the risk of whether we are willing to undertake of him corrupt evolving into SkullGreymon.
So JJK high school motivation is to play it safe and reset Tengen to ‘Koromon’ every 500years.
There is no real right or wrong. Like Geto and Gojo said, if so Riko decides. If Riko doesn’t want to, Geto and Gojo will stake their lives on it.
What makes it so depressing was Riko just made her decision and was going to start living her life afresh. Geto smile as he raised his hand to bring Riko home and… bang‼️

what was even more impactful is that riko chan actually regain her will to live just before getting shoot. As a manga reader im pretty happy with everything they did in this episode. putting all the emotion of this moment exactly how it should be 10/10

@@Maru_812depends if you're taking about the manga or the anime. In the she indeed completed her restriction in the last chapters, has 0 % and is on thé exact same physical level as toji. But in the anime for now (shibuya) she still hasn't 0%, she has a very little amount (even less than a regular human)
maki has no curse energy to the point where she can't sense or see curses. Toji is way different than her
@@selka4598 I think maki always had 0 cursed energy, but since Mai had a little cursed energy and they are twins it nerfed the heavenly restriction. I remember it stated very early that twins are very tricky in the jujutsu world when it comes to heavenly restrictions and techniques.

Honestly, while Geto becomes "Bad" it is perfectly understandable. Hope they cover every aspect of it in the next couple of episodes.
Partially it's what actually pushes people to extreme ends IRL as well so his arc is very realistic. (Pre Old Sorcerer for manga readers)

Something I’ve learnt from reading and watching jujutsu kaisen is you really need pay attention to every detail explained, cursed tools,binding vows,cursed techniques, heavenly packs,star plasma vessels, tengen.All these things come to play every time during the story and every single thing is important so if you miss something you will have to go back to understand it because as we go ahead we go even more into detail about these things

There are two characters that no cursed energy Toji and Maki, so imagine what maki looks like if she's going to strong.
Maki has a teeenie tiny bit of cursed energy, but less even than the average non-sorcerer. So her physical powers from the heavenly restriction aren’t as strong as Toji’s.
@@Bigstu27 What I'm saying is that Maki, as a teenager, has a lot of potential for growth. She could become as strong as or even stronger than Toji, who is already an accomplished adult. It'll be exciting to see how she evolves and becomes a formidable force in the future.

Well the reason gojo survive is he uses his reverse curse technique to heal his injuries and he basically mastered his cursed technique and for those asking how toji got through gojos infinity is cuz of his special grade cursed tool inverted spear of heaven and what it does is basically nullify any curse technique that's how he got pass gojos infinity oh and the inverted spear of heaven is the dagger he used to stabbed gojo

He & Maki both are Zenin failures since Toji absolutely don't has any Cursed energy at all but Maki has it just a tiny amount, nether they have any kind of Cursed techniques. They're almost same as regular humans but with more physical strength. And still they are able to keep up with the strong sorcerers

I can't go in explicit detail on tengen cause that's entering spoiler territory. However, everything pertaining to Tengen needing a vessel is very much true and has massive consequences in the future events in the story. Tengen's barriers aren't only for Jujutsu sorcerers, but for the protection of the entire country. Now, like I said, I can't go in detail about it, but those barriers are very important and with Toji coming into the picture doing what he do threw everything out of whack igniting events that probably wouldn't happen if he didn't showed up.
This guy is like Maki (The second year who uses tools/weapons with the glasses) They are born with zero cursed energy and no ability to use cursed techniques but instead are given pretty much superhuman strength and speed
maki has a little thats why sorcerers are able to see her, toji is the first with 0
