In present, Gojo likes humans, with or without powers. While Geto hates normal humans and only likes those with powers like every jujutsu sorcerer or curse users.
Now in s2 ( back in Gojo past )
Its the opposite,
Gojo prefers anyone with powers while putting himself above normal powerless humans. While Geto thinks that its the duty of with power to protect those who dont.
During this episode and the next, both of them will be switching perspective to what they have in the present.
I think the author even said that gojo used geto as his moral compass here and that's why he changed where as geto doesn't have that and... Well Manga readers know what happens but I personally understand why geto turned evil...
I read this yesterday in a comment in other video "While Gojo gets the "blessing"(Megumi) from Toji, Geto was cursed by Toji and his hate for sorcerers."

@@resnad3033thats cool to hear, from my understanding of Gojo's character it seems like he really doesnt feel any 'morality' or compassion or whatever u calll it, like a god/higher being - no love no hate just 'pure'. even present time, when he is considered 'good', from season 1 and movie he felt a bit off and just dont give a damn (for the most part). whereas for geto, before this season, i already felt he had morality with the quick flashback of the girls (before that i thought he was just egotistical).
its always the kindest people that turn the most evil (but of course it varies on the choices they make) - im referencing to anime charactera only btw

Not really to me, seeing a guy has a lot of potential to become a great sorcerer but got rejected to the zenin clan and after that his wife died, to move forward do some dirty work to live, what a waste for jujutsu sorcerer to reject him and die.

It isn't explained in the anime, but that sword is the Soul Splitter--it can cut through anything, regardless of its hardness and can cut souls (ie. Mahito would have a hard time against it); similarly, the chain he uses with the Inverted Spear of Heaven is the 1000 Miles Chain. It can extend endlessly, as long as nobody is viewing both ends (thus he keeps one end inside his pet curse). These are in callout boxes from the manga, but they left them out in the anime.
Toji's heavenly restriction massively improved his senses to god level. At the start of the fight his dialogue statedthat he felt uneasy, but waved it off. That uneasiness was telling him that Gojo Satoru has awoken to be the pinnacle (strongest) Jujutsu sorcerer, meaning it was instant death. However, he let his pride won, as seen in his dialogue in the end of the fight.
he wanted to prove the people who looked down on him wrong by slaughtering Gojo
I understood it as the reasons why he's picking this important fight doesn't align with his personality, so he wasn't absolutely fully into it (or yeah couldn't accept that he should've ran away)

Suguru being a moral compass for Satoru is such an underrated moment. Gojo was quite literally about to snap and it was Geto of all people who prevented that in the moment. Also.. Gojo keeping Toji’s blessing (Megumi) while Geto got his curse…
Even though people didn’t like the difference in the manga and anime for Gojos awakening scene. But honestly it makes more sense for him to obtain both sides of a godly power (blue and red)and become one with the world/universe(purple) resulting in a lofty , airy personality , as opposed to maniacal like how the manga looked. Idk, just feels like it makes more sense.

The anime got gojos personality perfect during the fight. I think people don’t like the difference for the “you’re right!!” And the “throughout heaven and earth I alone am the honored one” scenes. I’d argue that both those panels are the two most iconic panels in JJK. The anime decided to take a different angle for those scenes. I personally enjoyed the anime though.

Fun Fact: When Gojo changed after reviving himself, he states "Through out the heavens and earth, I'm alone the honoured one" This was supposed to be a reference to the buddha Śākyamuni when he reached Nirvana/enlightenment, which means he reaches to a state beyond human comprehension and Gojo rlly symbolises this statement as he is quite literally became enlightened in the JJK world which is a cool detail from Gege.
I'll just retype my comment, I really liked the ending part because of its metaphors, Gojo moves into the red light, which symbolises positive cursed energy in the jujutsu kaisen world, so Gojo making steps towards a positive path, while Geto is in darkness right at the end as he questions his own words and morality.
Red is also used to repel, where Gojo distances himself from all others and an abyss of strength separates him from everyone else, while Blue is to attract, and we see a sinkhole of it around Geto, where he draws in all that negativity
Toji fighting seriously meanwhile Gojo flying and thinking and understanding what does Eren yeager mean by freedom 💀

I love that they show you the contrast between Gojo and Geto views at the end, you could tell this is probably the start of where their ideals may clash

Some spoiler-free discussion to ponder about:
1) While it is true Toji got washed by Gojo in the 2nd fight.
Toji remarked that he can handle Blue and Red. The ‘something off’ that he wasn’t aware and couldn’t handle was Purple.
In the first fight, Toji would have won flawlessly.
Toji wanted to be the one to defeat Gojo who is the pinnacle of sorcerer world. But he did some really roundabout thing than truly killing Gojo.
For example, Toji was already slashing Gojo all around using the Reverse Spear of Heaven but yet when it comes to the finishing head stab Toji swapped out to a random weapon.
Instead if it was the Reverse Spear of Heaven, it would have nullified whatever Gojo was trying and Gojo would be dead.
This was remarked by Gojo, he said: You did not use the Cursed Tool Reverse Spear of Heaven to stab or chop off my head.(because the Reverse Spear of Heaven would have nullify whatever Gojo was trying)
If you read into it, this was the whole turning point. Because Gojo was stabbed in the head with some other random weapon, Gojo could use Reverse Cursed Technique and recover.
No reverse cursed technique to heal = Gojo would be dead and no rematch. Also = no mastering of Red = with no unlocking of Purple
Think of it in another perspective, Toji was the best thing that happened to Gojo. Toji was the worst thing that happened to Geto.
2) The name Megumi (惠) means blessings, so when Toji talked about blessings, he was like ‘oh wait, that’s my kid’s name’.
3) He sold his son to the Zenin family not because he wanted to get out of the clan. Toji was already originally rejected by the Zenin for having no curse energy.
He sold his son back to the Zenin, because he believed in young Megumi's potential to be a real sorcerer and named him "Megumi" for it means blessings.
4) Megumi means Blessing. In short, in a symbolic way you can take it as in this encounter Gojo received Toji’s Blessing and Geto received Toji’s Curse.
It’s tragic honestly for Geto…
Both Gojo and Geto changed.
Gojo as we see from the start, he is a prick. He disliked the weak, in his high he even thought of slaughtering everyone of the cult in there.
Geto was always the sane, caring and humble. He advocated for the weak. While traumatised, Geto held on to his belief and did not break yet. He was the voice of reason that convinced Gojo from not killing everyone in there.
However basically Toji incident spark the beginning of the switch between them.
and P.S. Toji gave Geto Monkey PTSD.

This whole flash back isn't about Goju BTW its about how Geto became who he is today before Yuta killed him. And as for Goju that beating he took really help changed his life

And I know after Sakuna vs Goju fight is over, in the current chapter it will be Yuta vs kenjaku rematch or they probably will jump him.

I like to think of Toji as like cursed energy reinforcement x9999. Yeah he can’t see curses or use any techniques but I view him as like an OG Naruto Rock Lee kinda guy.

From what i gather from comments in first fight gojo was tired and that was tojis plan supposedly to face tired top dog beat him and call himself best while any means is good its not a complete victory for winning side if both arent at full potential, put both of them at full capacity during this same point in time both fully rested and fully intent on killing each other and then see who would come out on top, before gojos so called enlightment toji maybe would win still but not sure as i dont follow that much to manga or anime but after it clearly was in his best interests to run 9:24

Big distinction for Gojo is that he is acknowledged and also treats himself as the Strongest Sorcerer.... _of his era_ . He is not the strongest sorcerer ever. He has also acknowledged 3 people to become potentially stronger than him in Season 1. Third Year Hakari (only mentioned), Second Year Yuta (we got to see in the movie), and potentially Itadori in the future. Hakari we dont know why. Yuta is a descendant of the GOAT Sorcerer clan (like Gojo). Itadori is gonna get access to Sukuna's techniques theoretically because they'll be engrained in his body (mentioned in Season 1).

Gojo actually is the strongest sorcerer ever. He's shown in the current battle that he is actually stronger than sukuna and sukuna was the strongest ever before gojo

Well i don't know if Toji is a good indicator of how strong Megumi would be. They have completely different abilities. Everyone has said Megumi has a lot of potential though. And he is pretty strong for his age.
Oh but yes he's strong for his age and the only student who was able to spark and do a domain expansion so far, although incomplete. and... he can be like toji if he wants to (maybe), it's just that he's holding back, like what gojo said before he performed the domain back in s1. i'm hoping that i could see a different megumi (in the manga) TwT
