I am older and was wondering what trailers are best for these boats and also how they perform if you get caught in rough water. Enjoy your videos and your clear speaking.
You could cut a thick yoga mat to fit over the floor ribbing to make it more stable to walk on barefoot. I dont see anything you can tie onto but to prevent flipping while getting in one can use a Something like a Cclamp on the opposite side and place a long paddle under the boat, tying the both ends of the paddle to the clamp one by the handle the other by the paddle part. Take the long length of rope over the boat and around the paddle part. Place foot onto the paddle keeping the rope tight should transfer your weight mostly onto the other side, kinda like a lever, as your pulling yourself onto the boat using the rope it will keep the paddle sturdy and can just walk up into the boat.
Hey Greyson , my advice on making a false floor would be to get PVC sheeting , ( available at Home Depot , ) you could possibly get away with 1/2” you could glue vinyl or paint it non skid ,whatever and it’s impervious to water and durable and be used to make a removable casting platform with a door access , now I gotta say it’s pretty stable and when you compare the price of kayak’s to this boat , I’ll take that boat any day ! More room , stability, and it’s great to fish out of , it’s great that they have the trolling motor mount in the bow , I had one made out of 1/4” welded alum it was over a hundred bucks 😳💸, not in my budget, I’m all about cheap small boat builds , the minncota 55 lb saltwater Rip tide used from goodwill was only $35 bucks, just got two deep cycle electric wheel chair batteries at a yard sale five bucks each ! Your skinny water cruiser is coming along nicely, that top is a great way to keep ya from becoming a piece of jerky out there , what’s the max hp motor you can put on it ?
I'm sitting at work, doing research for a small boat to use for scuba diving.. ended up watching someone jumping around in a boat. XD. Is there any small boat you can recommend that will be stable enough to climb up with diving equipment?
I was completely sold on the prowler but the more of these videos I watch I'm starting to lean toward one of these. My only fear is I weight about 2 of you lmao
I just got to try out both boats today. While the prowler is more stable I'm coming from a canoe so the jon boat is still more stable than that. I'm still on the fence of which one I want to buy but I'm leaning toward the jonny just because I'll be able to cover more water.

1/2" treated plywood is plenty rigid enough for the bottoms and even decks if you go that route.

Love your channel. Very accurate thanks for sharing
You are so welcome
I bought a rubber door matt from Home Depot for the bottom of the boat. It's nice to walk on now. 👍
I’ve been considering that! Wasn’t sure which one to get or if it’ll fold into the ribbed flooring
@@GreysonRobertsFlex seal would probably work best.

6 hp it says, But ive seen people go all the way to a 20 hp motor. I would say a 9.9-15 hp is your best bet but a 6 would get you on plane too
Deep water you have to pull all your weight that is under the water....maybe it will tilt more?
My Twin Sister lives in FL. On the gulf. I'll be flying in before the summer is out. We should link up and go fishing Greyson.
Sweet! What town?

Then you might like the prowler better! Definitely more stable
I’m in the same boat (pun most definitely intended) as you. I go about 230 so I’m thinking the prowler may be the better choice for me.

What the max person you’ve had on the boat?!
These are great boats as long as people don't do stupid things like over power, over load, or rough conditions.
And people do. And it’s great entertainment 🤣🚤
