You can use a high lift jack with a bit of chain and a small bow shackle to get out the star pickets very easily. Great video as usual and very interesting to see more than just lawns 😃
Beautiful home. I like the idea it empties itself bc then the dust or debris doesn’t go back into the air. We also have the hand held vacuum. It’s a cool lil tool in my husbands man cave 👍🏼
Hi Tim and Nicole, You 2 are my favourites..I enjoy watching and learning along the way. Chicken joke still gets people...lol Cant wait for the veggie patch next week. Stay Safe from a Tassie Supporter ❤️🙏👍🤗
This is so interesting as we don't have this system in the US as far as I know. Everything there looks so good. The chickens are just adorable and healthy.
Love the new vacuum, that was my choice, too, because of the handheld. Doesn't it feel good to have so many of your smaller projects done? I know you have many larger ones in the works. Take care, I'll be waiting for all the updates to come. 🥰❤
You two are my latest favorite people to watch❣️ Can’t wait to hear updates on all discussed. I really like that vacuum, would consider buying one. 😊Are they for sale in the USA? Do you think John Deere may give you the option to buy at a nice discount? Hope so, that is if you’re interested. See you next time.👍👍😀🌻
We use a jack to pull out steel posts. Just wrap a small chain around the post and jack it up and out. It all looks much better with the chicken wire gone!
Don’t worry about taking down the chicken wire because I can guarantee that it was a zero deterrent to deer! Not only could they just stick their head over the top, but deer can jump 6’+ (American here 😁) fences. The place is really looking pretty 👍💚👏🤎
The easiest and fastest way to remove or set new posts if you need to...your mini excavator with a chain to remove and just using the bucket to install. Least amount of back breaking physical work tool you can use
Turn your green waste into compost. I’d be embarrassed on acreage to put green waste out for collection😂. Go to local ag shop and ask for a “star picket puller outer” (technical term).
The stakes should be able to be removed with the excavator existing bucket and/or with a toothed bucket. I can think of 3-4 different ways and that’s not digging just lifting. Ways with and without chain.
Probably the easiest way is just nudge the stake with the bucket back and forward till it breaks the seal and might then lift straight out by hand, that could leave the stake bent, depends if re using them or not, or alternative try heavey sling/chain method may keep them straight.
fun fact: at the beginning of the video you said all of your chickens lay eggs, however, male chickens (roosters) do not lay eggs. Only female chickens (hens) lay eggs. Inside the developing ovary of every hen are hundreds of potential eggs, an organ male chickens do not possess.
You’ve been taking the piss about your egg-laying boy chickens for months now, but people still fall for it. Evidence of a stellar joke. Personally, I was hoping you’d fall through the reeds and go hip deep in the septic effluent, so I was disappointed. Next time, just use your new excavator to pop those fence posts out. If you want to plant something around the reed beds, why not a bevy of wildflowers instead of (yawn) more fecking grass? They’ll self-seed and be low maintenance. Attract pollinators for your garden, too. Have a terrific day!
You have roosters that lay eggs?! Roosters NEVER lay eggs! If you are getting 3 or 4 eggs each day (as you stated in a previous video) then you have 3 or 4 HENS. Which is great news!

hahaha Tim we have two boys and two girls and they all lay eggs. 🤣

I guess at some point someone has to tell him they actually all hens, but not me, not today anyway 😂
Yeah, I don't know a lot about chickens, but, that is one thing I do know.

Everytime loads of sheeple gotta tell Tim, he doesn't have boy chicken. Some think it's funny, the others are big mad about it 😂😂😂
Enjoyed the activities 😊😊😊😊

Your property is getting more and more beautiful by the minute.
A great way of pulling out star pickets would be with your excavator
That would be a good use for the new mini cat.............
That looks much better Tim, the reeds will sprout again in no time, those roosters are doing a great job giving you eggs every day 🐣
Just love that little Maggie, she is just so cute. ❤
Kevin and Maggie are the cutest!!
I also like her 😀
@@turfandtoolsis she a boy like Greg & coal trickle? 😂

I’ve read that as least favourite the first time 😂 yes I’m sure they would have it there. We get everything later.
Lomandra might be useful around your septic system pits.
Tim, remember, if all else fails, read the instructions! 😉
Also when doing the hedge get an aluminium plant and some tressel or ladders to have a nice even height working platform
Your 'boy' chooks are laying eggs!? 😳
"must be an easy way of getting these posts out?" says the guy with the mini-digger. Yeah mate, with a chain and a mini-digger 👍🤣
Didn’t surprise me at all you had to clean up the whole area after cutting back the reeds. Loved that vacuum cleaner!!!!
I’m very predictable 😜
I just love watching you guys at your new place. It looks really inviting and a lot of space. Good luck on all of your new adventures
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi Nicole,

Very enjoyable 👍👍🤩🤩🌅
Totally Alice Through the Looking Glass vibes. Are you sure there are not rooms in the mirror?😂
😂😂😂😂
Hope not 😂
I found your other channel! And ....I actually asked if you show your own property....lol, you do more work on your property than on Free Mow Fridays!
Welcome
3:10 Four thousand strokes per minute? Ah...I remember those days...
As for the septic systems you trim the grasses, reeds, perennial flowers etc growing over them. They help disperse the effluents so dont kill them
pull posts out chain wrapped around the post and mini excavator might help
Don’t worry about taking down the chicken wire because I can guarantee that it was a zero deterrent to deer! Not only could they just stick their head over the top, but deer can jump 6’+ (American here 😁) fences. The place is really looking pretty 👍💚👏🤎
You what? You said, and I quote; "We have four chickens, two boys and two girls. They all lay eggs." I am pretty sure roosters don't lay eggs, lol.
He kinda lives in his own reality. The one where he is 7’ tall. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Starrynightdiner Perhaps a hint of autism?
Yep boy chooks (roosters) are rather famous for not laying eggs. Only the females. So if all are laying then they are all female.
You are funny and I love watching your videos.😆
It’s a running joke. Try to keep up.

Awsome video.
That hedge trimmer and vacuum are amazing.
A Hi-Lift Jack is the best thing to remove those star picket posts.
Loving it 👌
seems like a cool vid that I am going to watch
Super cool 😜
I bet
Use the excavator to remove the stubborn pickets 😉
Zdravím Time! Moc hezký jsi ten pozemek s vysokou trávou zlikvidoval! 👍🌿🏆
Tip from a lawns n good Nick video. He tapes his mic inside his shirt it helps with the wind.
Try tying a string around those reeds and cut the top that way it's all in one bundle then you can level it off.
Usually you dont want to walk on your sewage system. Could be why there is netting? I have seen this 3 part system here in Canada before.

You need a Jack Steel Post Lifter and Remover. At bunnings around $96:00. Cheers Mitch
Did you look into whether a skid steer or tractor would be better suited to your needs?
A small loader would be good
There is a tool for extracting star pickets... simple and effective, or make your own with a strong metal bar, a bit of chain and a couple of bolts
You now have a mini excavator use it to pull the pickets
You can buy star picket pullers
Hello Mr Tim hope u and Nicole are doing great
Hey Peta! Good to have you back.

Are you concerned that animals will fall into the septic? OR do they have a grid?
I think it’s gravel based
@ $2300.00 that vacuum cleaner system would want to be good!
❤
3 years Tim........
How daring of Tim to just assume the chicken's gender. 😂
❤😂😂
Motion activated sprinklers: When they sense motion, these sprinklers emit a sharp burst of water to scare deer away.
That’s an idea 👍
@turfandtools it will also keep the neighbors away....
Boys laying eggs??!?! Hmmmm?!?
Just to clarify you did say all your chickens lay eggs? Just curious as male chickens do not lay eggs.

I’m talking about native bush grass. Not a lawn
Slightly lopsided. High on the left.

They can't all lay eggs if 2 of them are suppose to be boys :)
Yes, Greg and Cole Trickle are the boys
@@turfandtools😂
How do you know that two of your female chickens identify themselves as males, despite laying eggs?
Why do you have male chickens
OK I get it you’re messing with all of us. Wth
Ok all those chickens are hens! A rooster looks much different and crows all the time. Has beautiful plumage so I’m sure that’s you trying to be funny
