Hi Marielle! Such an amazing trip you did and an outstanding performance to bike around Australia for such short amount of time! I came across your video and I was so happy I watched it twice in a row ahah I am planing myself a loop around Australia next June starting from Brisbane anti clockwise :)
Hello Marielle! First heard about you on the Bike Tour Adventure Podcast. You're such an inspiring person and you have a great attitude towards life in general. Glad to finally see video from your trip around Australia. From a fellow Norrlänning: Keep pedaling and stay safe on the roads!
Thank you for very kind words and glad if I can give some inspiration. Haven't been logged in on my TH-cam for almost a year, so just saw this. I put my Canada video up 2 data ago so hope you will enjoy that one as well! Big hug, take care!
Thank you so much for your comment Mr Grigio, was an amazing trip, but I'm definitely not the first person archiving this and definitely not the last, but for sure a lifetime memory 🥰.
I think it's all about finding your own rhythm and my favourite distance is 170K/day then I got enough of time to relax but also enough og challenge during a day 🙃
There is no way under the sun you can do this in just over 3months....I know....the route I followed was give and take 16 000km and that was without Tasmania.I did it in 5months....there was days I did up to 200km a day....there was many days I had up to 30lt of water with me....that pushes your load up to 60kg or more....no...I did not not watched the video....and I am not going to...because your header are a lot of BS !!!!
Thanks Marielle well done and a great video. Where you get your energy and bravery from I will never know. You really should enter an endurance race given how many kilometres you can cycle each day. I think it was a wise decision you and Adam made in to continue do your own thing as you both clearly want different things from your adventures. Stay safe wherever you are now.
Sorry Ted just saw your comment here, thank you very much for very kind words! I also think it was a good thing to do our own thing and I was sceptical to the whole plan from the start, but in the end everything worked out for the best! Now a bit stuck in Sweden since Corona is messing peoples life up, so will see when I can go for next big bike adventure! Hope life treats you good!
High again marielle. This virus is certainly affecting all of our lives isnt it !.Isnt life funny at times the day I receive your message I went out very early for a bike ride & I meet in the local lanes a cyclist filming himself for Instagram. Within minutes of meeting him I realised I have a book he had written about cycling across Australia . I am going to try & find him on IG later. His first name is Roff but I am going to have to find his book to find out his surname. You couldn't make it up could you. Keep safe & you know theres nothing attractive with working 9- 5 daily. Stay safe Ted oh & thanks for replying.
There is no doubt you are an impressive athlete. I also watched your ride across Canada in 45 days. But it’s too fast for me. I like to go slow and enjoy the scenery, otherwise I could just drive my car.
Thank you Stipe for your comment, long story why but I made it first from Darwin down to Katherine but had 3 heatstrokes in 3 days so then I hitched to Broome where it wasn't as hot and started from there and ended there 🙃
That was amazing thank you for sharing 👍

Awesome! Where can I find the route?! I want to do this on my cargo bike 🙃
Honestly it's only one way around the country so just go for it, then you must find a suitable route when you getting into towns, enjoy your ride!!

Q: Why was start/finish in Broome?
Thank you Stipe for your comment, long story why but I made it first from Darwin down to Katherine but had 3 heatstrokes in 3 days so then I hitched to Broome where it wasn't as hot and started from there and ended there 🙃
