Marine Tex is good stuff. That and Belzona can achieve crazy stuff. Been holding back water from a cracked boat block for 1.5 now, cool idea and can't wait to see how she acts.
What i do instead of drilling holes all the way through is grind deep dimples on opposing walls that act like finger holes in a bowling ball. That way even if the expoy rattles loose, the fingers wont let it move
Man this is cool to follow. This may be a good way for some of the smaller guys to get a name out there into the public space. Might want to consider in the video descriptions for this shindig to link the builders if they have a channel so that viewers can more easily track down those that grab their attention. Good PR for everybody.
Definitely. That's been the plan all along. Every saw will be tagged and before the run, the builder and specs will be given and their channels will all be linked.
That was my hopes too. I just fired the YT back up Feb 1st and started posting heavy. I want to get some more saw guys on my channel and knowledgeable subscribers in the comments lol. The past month I’ve picked up a lot of shadetree mower monkey mechanics lol
@@AppalachianWrench It's the "Sharts." You end up with the stanky subs. But the algorithm doesn't push long format videos like it used to so it's not like there are options.
@@mattfleming86 I’m trying to use the shorts to make partner. I accumulated 5.5 million of the 10 required during the month of feb so I have 60 days to get the other 4.5. Watch hours were 2,100 for Feb so if I can get the long videos to pick up it’ll be easier to get there in hours than short views. Once I get to the next partner starts though I have a few instructional two stroke carburetor cross section and animation videos I’m working on. I’ve been practicing with CapCut and I think I’m going to use the green screen to make kids videos as well. My son is 2 and there aren’t many mechanical videos for toddlers. I think creating something and learning tool names and car types and such would be a hit. I mean whatever pays the bills lol. Anything to keep from having to go back to working on angry people’s mowers and 4 wheelers.😂
Have you ever tried underwater weld. Its a 2 part putty. It starts to get real hot as you mix it together. Mold it nead it lol whatever you want to call it. , It starts to get hot. So you gotta start working pretty quick . I made a thermostat housing for a small block. Chevy out of that s***, and it worked and held up just fine.
I forgot you were building one! Yeah the rules are... I think... must not extend more that 3" past the normal dimensions of the saw in any direction. Something like that. I left room for folks to build something unique, but not a legit expansion chamber.
I love this idea all the way around! I hope mine does well although I built it as a spicy work saw not as a racer. But I like how it runs so I sent it anyway. Lol. I like the idea of drilling holes for the epoxy. I hope that works out well. Time will tell how all these end up working out.

@@novicelumberjack Looks like a lot of good builders and some of us no name folks throwing a saw out there. I will be sending 2 saws. Both are what I consider working saws just one a little more of a firewood cutting setup. I stated before I don't really build race saws but I do port and repair 2 strokes a lot. Just letting you know there will be 2 more coming. Hoping to have them dialed in this coming week and sent out. Also have you determined a chain you are going to use? Type of wood and size you will be cutting in? Thanks. Getting close to crunch time.

A guy i worked with said that belzona is like steel in a tube. Just crazy expensive.

Id make it 4 transfer port with the epoxy. You can put tape in the bore and fill the whole port.
