You did an amazing job!!!! It looks great!! The top gaping at armhole IS NOT because of your proportions, it happens everyone whose not an 8 year old girl. The darts help shape fabric into 3d to curve around us. ❤
LOL thank you for the support!!! :) It's so cool how flat fabric can become 3D with something as simple as a dart!
Beautiful dress! The more I sew the more I am not afraid to unpick and alter as I go. I have made several tops out of vintage linen tablecloths. So much fun! I look forward to seeing your next sewing project! Love from New Zealand💜

The dress turned out beautiful. Your patience and efforts were amazing. Zigzagging over embroidery floss works very well with the widest stitch. And I gather right on the seam line so I can control the gathers as I sew - some zigzag thread may show but I just clip that off after all done. You did a great job making it into what looked great on you. ❤️😁🌹

Thanks for this! First video I've watched of yours, I've subscribed, it was so much fun to watch. I too have a thrifted table cloth, I thought I might make a jacket from it. Was good to get some tips about the pattern and how to deal with not much fabric. Your finished dress was awesome!

(Love the music. We are a music family. Hubby has been a Blues/Funk Drummer for 40 years! Maybe lower the music in the mix as sometimes it competes with trying to hear your narration. ) 🤎
