A great mixture of young guns and old stalwarts and flamboyant umpiring. A great advert for inter village cricket. Everyone has earned a pilgrim. Long may it continue.
Very nice to see future star players show what they can do. Who put big wide boundaries for this match? The young boys hit the ball so well, they could have scored 50s with appropriate size boundaries.
Totally agree! It’s a council maintained ground and something to do with H&S regs needing the boundary to be 60 yards from the track. We’ve brought it in 10yrds this weekend.
Quicker tracks and bowling will help him. It's noticeable on all the club cricket channels I watch how much players are trying to force the ball to get it to the boundary at the moment, the ground is still very soft underneath on these pitches.
@@Wally-H The umpire decided that the batsman was not out from where he was observing. In reality it was very close (I could not tell because I am 12,000 miles away🙃 !!!!) and the umpire may not have been able to discern with 100% accuracy who got there first. If there was any doubt from the bowling side they could have taken the appeal under 31.6 to the other umpire for consultation. Although MCC rules do not include "benefit of the doubt", I think Spirit of Cricket covers this concept. cheers
Nobody generally walks on a run-out and you certainly wouldn't expect a youngster to but I might have gone voluntarily on that one, it was a bit embarrassing. Didn't make a difference to the result so no harm done.
You've got some great young talent there Dan. Hope to see some more soon
Please have more of this, really enjoy some of the more chilled cricket
I think the 3XI/4XI is more enjoyable because of the contrast of the adults and kids (and for extra village moments)
A nice bit of bonus viewing for the commute after getting up at 0430hrs! As ever, thank you very much Dan.
My pleasure!
Luca looks a proper talent, be great to watch more second/ third eleven cricket when possible.
Will film them when I can - the early finishes enable a second innings to be filmed on occasion
Well worth it for a view of the future Dan - two smashing young players.
Indeed
Nice little snippet of the 'other ranks'!! My word young Luca and Aryyn both look to talents!
Can’t wait to see them progress - oodles of talent

SCC future looks great with Sandeep Son and Luca (great batsman) and WHY NOT !!!! ??? regards from Panama as always...
Absolutely!
Nice to see the 3rd XI pulling in a 'standing room only' crowd!
‘A busted flush’ sounds like something Del would be bothering his GP about
"keeper's a biter" and "child friendly climbing roof" - classic commentary!
Luca looking good. Once he gets to play on better grounds he won't have to go the aerial route so often.

He’ll just hit 6s!! He’s going to be awesome…
Nice to see the young lads doing well. First run out decision - well need I say it 🤣
😂😂 rather unfortunate typo, there, Wally
@@SandersteadCCTV Oops, fixed. Only you and I will ever know... 🤣
Good to see spectators - is the 3rd XI ground close to the Sawmill?
Yes - over the hedge behind the sightscreen at the bottom end and 2 mins walk - hence people turning up with jugs and beer from the Pavilion
@@SandersteadCCTV still a proper sign of a healthy club when players from higher teams come to watch their clubmates.
7:51 SCORERS! Don't see that at Lord's do you 🤣
Thought you were Schrodinger's cameraman for a moment!
😂
after careful inspection i can confirm that the run out that was not given is actually out 100%
Absolutely!
@@SandersteadCCTV Umpire was totally correct giving the benefit of the doubt to the batsman.
@@fentonpeter1582 What 'doubt' was that exactly? 🤣

@@fentonpeter1582 I know exactly what you mean and what the rule is but it was well out, my point was there shouldn't be any doubt really.
Art everywhere, the gothic pavilion or "child friendly climbing roof" but the main artist is Patrick!!
He really is - every “village” needs a Patrick!
That run out was at least a metre out

Not much value for shots on the 'Meadow' lots of running required - nice little bonus film and yes Luca looks a fine prospect
We’ve brought the boundary in 10yrds for this weekend. Imagine Luca batting on a hard deck on the OSM in a dry and dusty July/August! Can’t wait….
Waitrose in Sanderstead. Any Iceland?
Absolutely not!! 😂
🤣 Aldi? Lidl? This is the heart of the Surrey commuter land old boy, not Chatham.
Keepers clearly a biter always raises a chortle 😂
Poor result but very enjoyable
Bobby needs to learn how to run between wickets rather than watch a catch being dropped. Especially when playing with a young chap going along well.
He’s always been in his own world 😂. You should try playing golf with him….
@@SandersteadCCTV 🤣
Appalling behaviour running out that young kid at the end. As selfish as it gets.
I don’t think it was deliberate!
